My beloved kinsmen:
I am going to be away travelling for most of July and I wanted to both let you know and to ask your help in developing the commerce of Westeros and "the Black Widow" while I'm away. I'll be sending in "the Black Widow's gonna getcha" and "X merchant has done well in Y commodities" while I'm here and if you could could you send some of these as they strike your fancy when I'm away. I also asked Crake if I could develop an independent income--I want to be the Niccolo (a la Dunnett) of Westeros complete with a solid income and my own band/army (of which the Riding Dead will be the starting point)--and he said it might be possible once the economy gets up and running.
Feel free to use the Black Widow's band as you wish to supplement your armies while I am away but note that they do not rape, pillage or plunder!

Ouch, I'm travelling for two weeks in July; irregular appearances online at best. It would really suck if only Rhodri and Breyn are here; I don't see much of Jon or Sara these days.
I need to find out more about the Black Widow; right now I just can't navigate that damn KL forum. Also, tell me what I should have Aranya do. I can think of several things right now, but my mind has been completely on the Vale.

First, I think that Aranya should move to the Spider's Arms so she can hang out with the other cool chicks of KL like Mistress Kate and the Ribbon Crone, the Donald Trump of potions and geegaws (and another Lilith alt). Hmm...Aranya and Lilith could easily come to a deal about sharing the Black Widow's responsibilites. The motto of the Spider's Arms is "Liberty, Equality & Sisterhood" and I think having more than one Black Widow would fit in with this nicely. With Aranya near the Market Place, I think she could easily watch for trading opportunities (no blackmailing my merchants association please!), train with the Black Shields and Black Daggers and generally get her skills up. Have also been thinking about entering some of the Shields like Ser Marc and Captain Georg in the lists.
Sara--if you see this, get an alt in KL who can come hang with us! I suspect we will see Selwyn at the Spider's Arms fairly frequently but all are welcome.

Speaking of being away -- going camping this weekend. I'll be offline starting at some point mid-tomorrow through late Sunday. Please don't lose the Stormlands while I'm gone.
Cheers, Dan

By the way, thanks for getting us on a random ship. I was about to post a scenario that had Tyrosh in it; thankfully, Callen isn't too keen on the Free Cities, so I pulled that scenario down. Ugh, I need to watch what I say.
Speaking of which, Aranya probably shouldn't have mentioned your name.

LOL! I read at about 6:30 in the morning that Spear had recognized Callen and knew that I had to do something fast. I loved the "Spear standing on the dock looking dumbfounded feeling" that the Worm gave off in his ooc posts!
It is probably obvious to anybody watching that Lilith Royce has her hands all over the market but discretion is amusing.
Was very interested to see that Donal Tyrell has entered trade as well. I think a consortium of KL-Gulltown-Oldtown merchants might be very interesting indeed. Will drop him a note if you say okay.

Man that was a good time ;D I had sort of warned him before hand I was going and baby Petra did have two consenting parents but I don't think he realized quite how much sturm und drang I'd put him through. Boy did he do it well though! Just remember boys & girls, nothing in your life is ever wasted if you become writers!

Oh, I am leaving early tomorrow morning for adventures around the country and in Ireland. I'll check in when I can but prolly won't be writing any scenarios. Feel free to come by the Black Widow's camp to admire the baby (though she be 4 or so by the time jump is finished) and to use Lilith to clean up any messes you make. She's dedicated herself to saving the suffering (seemed a good a way as any to spend a couple of years ). Oh, and Elspeth Stone is now in charge of all business dealings in KL and can be used to contact Ser Marc Anton & Ser Arguel Flowers if you wish

Petra is turning out to be a right terror! Have had no time to play on going scenarios but did post an update on my lovely daughter's progress in Goldsmith's Manor. Am at a friend's with a decent internet connection so can check occasionally for the next few days--feel free to post anything I should know or do here.
all best,
LR
