The Hunter's Blow

[The Smith]

Moments pass and beside the sound of an oil lamp crashing to the floor their is only silence.

[Flex]

Hearing the lamp crashing to the floor, Darien almost panics. "Rolf! Get out!" He rushes in the direction where he thinks the door is, swinging his dagger in front of him.

[The Smith]

Rolf is unable to force the secret door it is too well sealed. Darien crashes into the wall next to the door with a loud smack, and falls back onto his butt.

[Flex]

Rubbing his head, Darien fumbles around for the door, searching with his hand along the wall infront of him.

[The Smith]

Darien eventually finds the handle but the door is locked.

[Flex]

Darien knocks on the door several times, hoping Yozs and the other men are outside. He then turns and says to the darkness "Gerrold, what are you doing?"

[The Smith]

Silence answers him.

[Flex]

Darien sighs and slowly gets up. He tries kicking the door as hard as he can to get it open.

[The Smith]

After several tries he kicks the door open, and the light from the hall illuminates the small room.

[Flex]

Darien turns to see what is going on inside the room. He readies himself to throw the dagger.

[The Smith]

The room sits empty beside the two chairs and the table.

[Flex]

Darien quickly runs to the secret door and unseals the door. He looks at two of the men and points at the wall. "You two, feel around for hidden doors. Rolf, follow me!" Darien turns and runs through the hall, the common room and outside, whilst always looking around to check if he can see Yurie or Gerrold. Finally outside he looks around for his guards.

[The Smith]

He sees them standing in their positions as ordered.

[Flex]

"Men!" He waves at them and they come towards him. "Go around the tavern! Look for any exit you might be able to find! If you see Yurie do anything you must to capture him. Rolf, keep a look out for that inkeep."

Darien turned and went back inside the Tavern and returned to the secret room, to see if his men had been able to find the hidden door.

[The Smith]

As he returns he sees his two men just discovering a secret trap door lying next to what had been Yurie's chair. Opening it looks like the open mouth of a well.
