"The Sea Lord did not ask to met some pretty maid. He asked to met a pheonix." The man looked her up and down, "Are you a Phoenix in disguise? Should I have you stripped and searched?"

Tristeza suppressed a malicious smile; she thought his remarks were harmless, but the blatant disrespect with which they were delivered was enjoyable to her. She remained silent.

"I do not think he will be inclined to meet with the Sea Lord at all if this is how he typically treats his guests," Marei says coolly. "My lord could not be present for this meeting; I have come in his stead."

The man looked worried all of a sudden, "Oh please do not tell Lord Pheonix of our mistreatment of you our honored guest. That would be awful, my master still wishes to meet with him. I mean what ever would I do if I thought you were going to be spreading vicious rumors about the Sea Lord's hospitality." Halfway through the speech, the man's words had changed from concerned worry, to a callous growl.

Marei has nothing to say to that mockery, and simply continues to stare at the scarred man.

Looking to Lady Martell the man says, "This one is as cold as ice. You think anything would warm her up?" He winks at her.

"Apart from burning her at the stake?" Tristeza asked Lord Meatrios in a voice that feigned indifference.

"She one of those Northern witches that afflict the North of your lands?" Meatrios's eyes moved back to Marei, "Interesting that. She does not look like she has any evil powers. Looks as helpless as a little cat."

"Unfortunately," Tristeza began relluctantly, "Miss Swiftwaters is here as my own charge--she has come under the same pretense as have come Ser Vikary, Ser Ladybright, and the rest of the Bazaar; that pretense protects her."

The man looks at Tristeza and nods, "Of course it does." He looks back to Marei and his smile lets her at least see the blatant lie. "So whats the Phoenix planning on doing with the Winged Reptiles? Building a new den, or burning the old? Cause either way he may have an ally in a certain Eel."

"I have been instructed to ascertain something before offering information of my own. And that is the nature of the accord between Lord Sergyo Delinal and Lord Piers Bettley."

Meatrios looked at her and asked, "Do you mean the nature of their relationship, or the specifics of their truce?"

"The latter," Marei says.

"Neither man will attempt to murder one another, and each will help reveal plots that are aimed at that specific goal." He holds up one finger as he says that, "Faceless Men will no longer operate in Braavos, and Lord Piers will not send any Skinchangers into Braavos." He flicks up a second finger, "The Sea Lord will be given any important information of the Smallest Council, and access to the artifacts they have gathered, but will not able to distribute that information to any more then two people." And he flicked up a third finger, "And that the deal was sealed with blood on a dagger's blade as is the custom."
Lowering his hand he added, "Your Turn."

Marei considers that information for a moment. "Very well," she says.
"Lord Blackwood wishes to restore the Targaryen dynasty to the throne of Westeros. Of course, severe damage must be dealt to Westeros' infrastructure before that goal will be achievable. So to answer your question, the old occupants of the den must be burned out before the new ones can roost."
