"Wow, Crikey is that all of Westeros. Shit I can see my house from here." Baldric says before realizing he is in polite company. "Mi Lord?" Baldric says turning towards Velaryon and kneeling like he is supposed to.

Rhaegar's face remained impassive. He repeated somewhat impatiently.
"I am told you wish to enter my service."

"Wells mi lord, I'se think of our relationship mor' as a contracted service provider. You'se provide the gold and I'll provide the service if I am able and the request is wit ins me capable abilities." Baldric says trying to dress up his language although failing miserably.
OOC: Also in the future its wise not to post the actions of another player just leave it as Baldric is asked to kneel because he could of thrown a hissy fit or something.

"I don't normally speak to sellswords. But I believe you may have some important information about the possible intentions of the Baratheon forces in regards to Dragonstone."
OOC: I wouldn't normally post the actions of another player, but I thought the requirement of kneeling to the de-facto Prince of Dragonstone in his own chambers by a sell-sword was a given. Especially as he has come as a supplicant seeking to enter service.
It was really to save time.

"Wells I'se not your normal sell sword mi lord so don't feel as you had to break any of yo rules on my behalf." Baldric cracked a grin, but the eerie silence made him think that his jest may have fallen flat.

Rhaegar was silent as he waited for the man to answer his question.

"Well the Baratheon's are gitting the shit kicked out of them mi lord, they are up to their tits in fucking lizard men" Baldric says before realizing that the Prince is probably talking about the information he had told Ameron.
"Oh well mi lord, I's be telling Ser Ameron earlier that I was supposed to set fire to your stores when the fleet blockaded Dragonstone." Baldric gets distracted by the pretty map but regains his composure.
"Well's mi thinking mi lord is that theys, that being Benfry and Irwyn and all was afraid of trying to storm such a magnificent fortress as this and hoped to starve you all to death rather then risking men 'ere. Course most likely both those cock suckers will die before this war is o'er."
Baldric looks down at the painted map again. Who knew the world looked so fucking huge from this angle. He stands up, and then shifts to his other knee as his right knee is starting to cramp up.

Rhaegar nodded as he listened to the man. He had expected as much. Assassins and saboteurs both. He laughed inwardly. All this effort by those at Kings Landing to remove him and it could so easily have all been avoided. Luckily Avery had taken steps to hide Dragonstone's massive food stores from saboteurs such as this one and Rhaegar resolved to take further steps to make the stores even more secure against future attempts.
"And which fleet were they going to use to blockade Dragonstone? Ser Ameron mentioned something about the Arbor fleet."

"Well mi lord, I am not privy to all the info'mation. My handler the boy who worked for the Weasel, quite the bastard if youse be asking for my opinion" Baldric pauses for a second trying to stop rambling.
" 'ell the Flea told me to come 'ere and do that, that be setting fire to yo stores and wait on the fleet. I's only suming that it was the Arbor cause thats the biggest one around with the Ironborn out looting and plundering everything."
"Course I says it don't likely matta no mo wit the Arbor Fleet and Far Reach Army refusing to sail on account of the mysterious death of the Lord Hand." Baldric's lips feel chapped partly because of the weather and partly because he hadn't anything real to drink since leaving King's Landing.

Rhaegar took a moment to digest the information Baldric had given him. He beckoned to Ameron and said something in a low voice.
Ameron nodded.
Rhaegar spoke to Baldric.
"Very well Baldric, You are hired. I have a task for you and your band. If it is successful you shall be well rewarded. For the moment, you may seek lodgings in the town and report for duty at the harbour defences tomorrow. In the next couple of days, you will receive further instructions."

"Well mi lord that is all well and good but I haven't said I accepted yet," the mercenary says. "Normally how this works is you tell me the job and the work I'se be doing and of course we agree on a wage and then we have a deal," the man stands stretching his legs out.
"I like to think of myself as a high end sell sword, I ain't no messenger boy, I do big jobs like ridding the world of the worse bastards and sending them to the seven hells." He scratches his dirty head.
"I ain't a soldier so me and my men won't be reporting to harbor duty and if we can't come to terms then I will respectfully ask my leave. First I will need an inkling of what you will have me do to see if it is worth my time."
OOC: If you don't want to post it just send a PM to me and stranger and I'll respond that way to keep it secret.

Rhaegar and Ameron glanced quickly at each other. Ameron nodded.
Rhaegar turned back to Baldric.
"It's up to you. We hire sell-swords and we pay the going rate. If that is not good enough, then you and your band will be required to leave Dragonstone at once.
"However if you require a little more excitement that just harbour duty, then I have the following proposal for you and your band."
Rhaegar quickly outlined what he had in mind and sat back in his chair to hear Baldric's response.

"So you would like me to babysit some Lannister?" Baldric says his nose wrinkling up.
"I just don't think that this task is up to my parties high standards. It would be a shame that the band who took the life of the Blue Lipped Crow would waste its talents protecting some Lannister as he wandered the world aimlessly looking to pop his cherry with some Lyseni whore."
Baldric pulls at his beard. "Although if the price was right. . . I would do a jig in my small clothes on the walls of Dragonstone Keep."

At the reference to the death of the 'Blue Lipped Crow', Rhaegar tensed appreciably. His hands, grasping the end of the arms-rest of his seat, tightened.
"Perhaps fighting against the foreigners would be more up to your party's 'high standards'. Here in Dragonstone, I prefer to test out my men's capabilities before I make any judgement on their abilities."
Rhaegar leaned forward.
"And your price? What would that be?"

"Depends on the mission mi lord. . ." Baldric bites down lightly on his lips in deep thought, it looks a little odd as he is missing his front teeth but finally responds.
"I was looking for a mission worth at least 750 Dragons, my men have high standards as well and I pay all expenses out of my payment."
