Rhodri Royce during the 4YG:
1) The Lady Becca Royce (pregnant right now) births a son, Yohn Royce. His coloring takes after his mother -- Valyrian. Young Yohn Royce is born in the Drum Tower of Storm's End.
2) In time, Rhodri's fellow Stormlords and some wider nobility start referring to him as "Lord Red Royce", or sometimes "Redroyce", to differentiate him, and his fledgling "house" from his brother. Rhodri spends most of the gap in one of three places: Storm's End, King's Landing, and Mistwood, which becomes a rather well appointed "Hunting Lodge" for the Stormlords. Rhodri often invites his fellow lords to great hunts in the Rain Wood. This allows him to grow closer to his peers.
These invitations are also extended to lords from further afield and the royalty in King's Landing, and Mistwood becomes a popular retreat.
Rhodri also travels to Sunspear to speak with the Princess and attempt to draw the Stormlands and Dorne closer, bridge any differences they may have had.
3) The Lady Becca births a daughter, Saella Royce. Her coloring takes after her father -- ginger hair and pale skin. She is born in Mistwood.
4) The Redroyce announces plans to host a tourney. (OOC: planned without knowledge of Baldwin's until too late. But they should be complementary, not competitive)
However, I am open to doing this two ways:
a) After Lord Baldwin completes his tourney, since he announced his first, or b) Holding it this week (since Baldwin will be away Tuesday through Sunday anyway) so that we have something to "do" as soon as the gap is over.
I just don't want to be stepping on Baldwin's toes. FEEDBACK PLEASE! Do people prefer the tourney this week, immediately after the gap, or in a couple weeks after Baldwin has hosted his.
~~~~~
Selwyn Stone during the gap:
1) Selwyn is thrown into a great depression after the disappearance of Aranya Stone. While they feigned a casual, convenient air to their relationship, he had truly cared for her. He assumed her departure was a rejection of him, and it sent him into a spiral of drink and despair.
2) After an argument with Rhodri, Selwyn Stone vanishes from his quarters in the Red Keep. Some say they saw him wastrel in Flea Bottom, others say they saw him aboard ship for Gulltown.
3) As of four years later, no one has seen or heard of him in years.
Everyone does seem to be waiting for this. It will likely occur on Tuesday, if there are no qualms with that.
And Baldwin: You are probably the favorite for Hand at this time. And Timm Vikary has a good chance of getting into the Kingsguard.
Alright if I become his hand I would lobby for Piers to replace me as Master of Coins. He already knows the office and all.
Rhodro both want our tourney to rock! So no matter whose is first everyone has to enjoy them both. Or one of us will cry. It will probably be me, I tear up very easy.
Since posting has died down a bit (as you noted), a tourney might perk things back up again this week. So I'll host one immediately; take notes on what works and what doesn't to make yours even better!
Full events details will appear shortly, announcements in all the major towns...
(and Baldwin, even though you won't be online, please feel free to have any of the knights or lords in your service enter. I wouldn't want the Westerlands unrepresented!)
They are all in training for the better tourney, we will have clowns and a hedge maze. With balloon animals, did I mention Balloon animals.
But on a more serious note, any of my people are welcome to go.
Aww. Selwyn is a sweetie.
I should probably outline my plans when I get the time, now that I think of it. I'm not really posting until the TJ anyway.
Ser Donal Tyrell’s activities in the last 4 years
1) Thanks to the Westerosi Federation, I have amassed a huge personal fortune, which I have used to bribe customs officials, expand the markets, docks and warehouses of Oldtown so it that arises as the largest trading base, bar Kings Landing, in Westeros, outstripping even Lannisport. Rumours circulate of accounts held by me in the Iron Bank of Braavos and the Lyseni Exchange in Lys. My wealth is estimated to be equal to that of several small houses and not far short of that of House Tyrell itself! 2) I create a band of pirates, loyal to me, known as the Red Sails who operate out of smuggler’s dens along the southern coast of Dorne – safe from any pursuit or discovery by the Kings forces. This causes some friction between Dorne & the Crown as they erroneously suppose that the Princess is supporting them. This leads a short-lived tariff dispute, which only strengthens Lord Baldwin’s suspicions regarding who fund the Red Sails. For her part, Princess Emelia, enraged that these pirates operate out of her waters continues to, unsuccessfully to date, find and eliminate them. However, my bribery of several lower officials has so far kept the location of their bases secret. I ensure to always use intermediaries in my dealings with the Red Sails so that they never know who fund their activities. I foster the rumour amongst them that it is Ser Steffen Lannister. Only the leader of the Red Sails, Godwin Storm and his chief lieutenant Farshon know the truth. 3) I continue to hide and protect Kid Death and Rhae Targaryen on my estates outside Oldtown and try to get Kid Death to pledge his support to my banner. I never really manage it, but Kid Death does grow to trust me more as time goes by and even offers to squire my son Addam in the martial abilities for which he is so justly famous. Under his tutelage Addam becomes a highly skilled and adept swordsmen for his age and begins to idolise Kid Death, against my better judgement. 4) I officially convert to R’hllor as Gisella spends more and more time at Oldtown with me, researching the old histories and ‘spells’ held within the Maester’s archives. I set up several temples to R’hllor in Oldtown and some of my men at arms also take up the new religion. This causes some friction between myself and the High Septon in Kings Landing. 5) I forge some links in the other Houses, most notably with Lillith Royce in the Vale and the merchant leaders in Kings Landing, mainly around trade.
My second, Gisella of Asshai
For unknown reasons of her own, Gisella decides to stay in Westeros and remains in my service. She begins to exert a greater influence over Ser Donal Tyrell and rumours circulate that she has bewitched him, these rumours grow stronger when Donal converts to R’hllor and his wife Arianna Hightower passes away after a sudden fever in 509.
What will Prince Elester do:
1) Improving Dornish economy and agriculture, starting to grow silk in dorne and shipping Dornish goods to westeros and free cities for good profit. 2)Voyage to free cities, where he signs trading contracts with leading merchant houses. 3) Staring to smuggle luxury goods (Silk etc.) to westeros in order to avoid tariffs. 4) Visit at the Stormlands, where he befriends With he's former enemy Sylas Caron. 5) Participating tourneys melees and other kinds of entertainments.
