"Are you here for the tourney, ser? I went to watch yesterday. The horse race was boring once the horses were out of sight, but I did win three coppers because I bet on that handsome Lannister knight." The girl looked in the mood for gossip and talk.

"Ayup," Ser Dunnock says with a bold nod, "That I am, miss. An' you could do worse than puttin' 'em three copper stars t' work bettin' on The Bloody Sparrow. Y'see, I'm the knight 'oo's t' be champion o' th' melee tomorrow, missy, as if'n y'already 'adn't 'eard." Ser Dunnock throws his head back with a laugh and takes a deep swig of his ale, bloody red sourleaf stained teeth flashing grins.
"As' fer 'em horses, I didn't right see 'em race m'self. Can't abide by such tempermen'al beasts, t' be sure," he says, waving a dismissive hand.

"Is that so?" The maid said politely, with a bit of a grin. Every knight who came in here boasted that "you're talkin' to the champion, lass". She said now, "Well I might lay down a couple coppers on you, ser, if you'll be a sweet and have another tankard. And I agree, I can't abide horses myself. Nasty stomping high-strung creatures. They act like princesses with their moon blood upon them."

The Bloody Sparrow chortled at the wenche's quip, and gladly pressed a few more copper stars into her hand. "Another round then, another three! If it'll mean makin' a lovely lass all the richer richer, 'ow could I rightly say no?"

The girl winked. "I knew I liked you. Just a moment." She left and returned with another tankard, and then smiled. "I am sure you will fight bravely."
