"M-m-my Lord S-Stark. I've br- brought the... ehm... the th-thing Master Reed sent f-f-for..." the crannogman messenger says with a think stutter. The man brushes a strand of thick blackened-mud hair from his eyes and retrieves a carefully wrapped round object from his cloak. The package is lightly dusted with red frozen crystals at one end.

After Roose Stark's wedding night, Olander came calling at his solar, the Royal Wedding announcement in hand. "Milord Roose, I'm sure that you're well and busy with your new bride, so I will be as brief as possible. I would ask your leave to travel to King's Landing for His Grace's own wedding and be charged with the organization of the Second Day Kingdom Party, to be held by the North."

"That would be lovely. Lord Reed is perfect for the job," Tyla Stark said. "Though I should like to attend as well, my love. Can we not go along with Lord Reed? You presence will be expected, as the King's cousin and one of his Lords Paramount. I will help Lord Reed plan the party, never fear."

Olander dipped his head respectfully to the kind words of the Lady Tyla. He hadn't seen much of this new wolf at the wedding feast; his tepid eyes studied her with a cool curiosity. "That sounds an excellent idea, milady."

Tyla clapped her hands. "Then it is done," she declared, as if she took her husband's quiet for acceptance. "We shall leave in a week's time, Lord Reed?"

Olander gave a bow of approval, his eyes never leaving the Lady Stark. Without a word, he left the solar.

Roose turned to look at Tyla. "I never have had much luck with tournies and festivals. But I suppose I should report to the King." He thought for a moment. "Before we head south I need to confirm someone as sheriff and magistrate of the Stoney Shores, we need to make sure any sense of rebellion is quelled there."
He thought for a moment, looking her up and down with his grey eyes. "We'll go by White Harbour, it will allow me to meet with the new Lord Manderly and confirm his regent in his duties."

"That sounds like a good idea, my lord," Tyla said.

"It's settled then." We leave tommorow. He was about to slip into a cloak and return to the training yard when he thought for a moment. "Oh, and when we're in King's Landing....stick close."
