2,700 Skagosi warriors under command of Gariss Stane are attempting to ambush the castle of Karhold during the black of night. The vanguard is led by Ryk Magnar and 500 other men, who will clear the path for the main army, set up the approach, and scout out the defenses. The ambush party will be led by Mag Stane. They will storm the walls.
As of right now, the garrison at Karhold (whatever little is left after the Milkwater. I also think their Lord was killed recently.) does not know of the Skagosi threat or approach.
Characters:
Gariss Stane (commander of the whole army, Legendary Battle)
Mag Stane (expert ambushing, expert battle, novice night attack, expert stone axe)
Ryk Magnar (expert scouting, expert leadership, noteworthy stone hammer)

If they are successful in taking the castle, the Skagosi warriors have orders to spare any nobles, blacksmiths, and maesters.

Also, I was wondering if Mag could earn Master Stone Axe, improved from Expert (improved) Stone Axe from the battle? He rolled decently and combined was just a total of 19 points below Gariss in 2 rounds, who is Legendary.

Final Commands: Gariss and Mag order the castle to be burnt, after stripping it of all of its books, weapons, and valuables. The Skagosi ride quickly to return to their ships and sail home, content for the time being.

Karhold would have undoubtedly have had time to send out ravens carying the word before the keep was taken.

I believe we can agree the news will reach us eventually though.
OOC:I understand plundering the weapons and the valuables, but the books? I pictured the Skagosi as these big fighting brutes, why the hell do they need books for? The image just doesn't work. I mean, can you imagine a viking reading a book?

OOC: Maleagant, I appreciate your concern.  However, if you read my character sheet you will find out that Mag is a tad bit different than the average Skagosi warrior. As can be expected from a Magnar. And yes, the news will most definitely reach you. Also, perhaps we should move this to the OOC board before Stranger kills our karma? |
