"Well did you tell them about my 50,000 Westermen?" Aellion asked curtly.

"Your grace?" Steffen asked, nonplussed.
Then realisation dawned. "Ah, your grace," he said quietly, "I think 50,000 Westermen is something of a false hope. I don't think there are even 50,000 men left in the Westerlands any more, and the number of houses that would support us immediately... is relatively few I believe."
He braced himself for a dragonfire-like bollocking.

Aellion looked down at Steffen with something very akin to disgust.
"Aren't you a Lannister? Don't the Lannisters command the Westerlands? Give me my fucking soldiers!" Aellion growled.

Despite being ignored in his search to find the Targaryens, Mortimer eventually stumbles upon the Splendid Times, where he asks for an audience with the Prince.

The man is shown to the table where the silver haired prince is dining and talking with a host of others. He pays the newest man no attention.

Mortimer clears his voice loudly and gives the Prince a deep bow, telling him, "Your Majesty, it is an honor to stand in your presence. I am Mortimer Greyjoy, sent as an envoy to the true masters of the Seven Kingdoms by my cousin, Erik, who sits the Seastone Chair."

"Lord Greyjoy is interested in bringing the Kraken to serve the dragon is he? Wise choice, very wice." said Prince Aellion.

"He is indeed, my prince. King Erik would do all he can to assist the dragon in reclaiming its rightful throne. And he commands both the Iron Fleet and the armies of the Trident."

"KING? KING ERIK? Don't make me laugh! Everyone bows before the Dragon, and if he's not willing to bow too, than we'll crush him as soon as the next." Aellion sputters.

Mortimer does his best to hide his smirk before responding, "My cousin took the crown largely in an effort to show his disdain for the reigning stags. Besides, as he put it before I left, 'Emperor' is a far more fitting title for the dragons. After all, each of the Seven Kingdoms once had a king, and you and your kin are beyond them, are you not?"

"You know Gardner told my ancestors something similar, just before he burned alive." Aellion replied, "If Lord Erik wishes to kneel, he will of course be confirmed in his rights at Lord of the Iron Islands, but he must kneel and deny any right to a crown."

Mortimer shrugs. "Then it will happen, my liege. But, I trust, you don't mind him keeping it for the time being, that he might better combat the child now sitting the Iron Throne?"

"If he were doing battle in our name, all of Westeros would rise up with him. He would find allies anywhere. All bow to the Dragon, no one is going to bow to a squid." Aellion chortled as if this was very funny, and than glared at the table, until they started laughing too.

"Yes, of course. I'll be certain to let him know. So," Mortimer pulls up a chair, grinning, "When's the invasion scheduled for?"

"As soon as the dragons arrive." Aellion said. "Shouldn't be long now before my brother the King returns with them."
