Zandros picks up his red dagger and cleans off the blood, then resheaths it. "I have heard of your sword, Lord Dayne. And your battle in the Bloody Sands."

He remembered the fight, the host he was with trying to retake Lemonwood. He remembered the commander he killed and the other he fought. But how could this man know? "I am renowned for that battle? 'Twas the only thing I did in that war... no matter, I think I will need some bandages."

Zandros bowed and ripped some clothing from the dead men's cloths, walking forward he began to dress Dayne's wounds, "I know some rudimentary healing lore. When I am done I will fetch a doctor for you."

Daemon, upon hearing voices upstairs, ventures into the room. He looks down at the corpses on the floor, and then at Beric's bloody sword in his hand. "You truly are the Sword of Morning, then?"

"Thank you, Zandros. I just wonder who those men were." Suddenly a man comes walking up the stairs and Beric looks up. "Yes... yes, I am."

Zandros looks up and eyes the other man.

"I am Daemon Waters, son of Prince Aellion Targaryen, brother of the true King of Westeros. I had heard rumors that an exile of the Dornish War was in residence here, and I see that they were true. I come to offer you a place at my father's side, when my family returns to claim the lands of our ancestors."

This surprised Beric completely. With all that had been going on recently, this he did not expect. "Well... I do not think I am in a fit state to make any decisions right now. Please, Daemon, let me think on it."

"You have time, Ser, for our dragons are not yet ready to be ridden into battle. In a few short years, however, we will be ready to claim our heritage and I would hope that you and yours would stand at our side, in retaking our rightful place as the Kings of Westeros."

Zandros watched the conversation, his hand still on his dagger.

Beric nodded. "I know where to find you... the rich tavern is it? Yes, I've seen the place many a time." Beric winced as Zandros tightned a bandage. "I shall call on you and your father soon, Daemon."

Daemon frowned at the Lord's mistake of his name, but did not press the issue, and turned to leave the townhouse. He turned back to Beric, and said, "If you choose not to fight wtih us, Lord Dayne, I implore you not to fight against us. Dragonfire does not distinguish good men from traitors if both are caught in its path." With that, he turned and left.

Beric sat there for a while, until he heard noises coming from downstairs. All at once, Gaharr Tohn, Janos, Morho and Norizs entered, and all of them with a look of confusion on their faces. "Please, friends, give me a minute. You may wait downstairs." As they left, he turned to Zandros. "How can I repay you for saving my life?"

"Allow me to stay near you." Zandros replied, "I worry they will try again. Do not let yourself be alone."

"Mh... I do have my guards, but another can't hurt. Yes, you may stay and share your guard duties with Gaharr and Morho. You will get aquainted with them in no time... Morho is a reckless young bravo and Gaharr a stubborn old man." Beric chuckled. "Maybe you are the kind of man who is the perfect balance."
