So, I'm guessing we may (fingers crossed) be seeing the homecoming of the men of the Far Reach some time in the near future. As they've been away at war for, well, years now, I'm thinking it would be cool if some kind of homecoming party was held at Oldtown. It would be a great opportunity to RP post-war and draw a line under a lot of the past, paving way for the future. One hell of a lot of prominent Far Reachers have died over the past few years, and a lot of these have never been properly recognised within the Far Reach. Perhaps an event held over several days - day one could be remembrance, a day of mourning and recognition for those lost, from Trevor Tarly, Franny Varner onwards. Day two could be a day of the bestowment of honours - awards of knighthoods, lands, titles and general recognition of the brave deeds of Far Reachers that have so far gone unsung. A third, or any subsequent days could look to the future. There is still the need for a conclave (to officially give Alex the Regentship of the realm), which could perhaps also double as something of a Far Reach summit - to discuss our plans for the future. OOC this final event might help us establish the political situation in the Far Reach - i.e. who the main players are as regards Houses and prominent NPCs. Help us get social standing in order so to speak. And of course, in amongst this all there would blatently be a tourney of sorts. Because everyone loves a tourney. Thoughts?

Indeed it has been planned for a while that there would be mourning after the war. I had disbanded the army after King Landing battle so its been about a year that they have been gone. I like the idea of a remembrance of the past, the celebration of the present and then a look forward to the future.
It will be an excellent exercise I am sure.

I don't know if we need a name for it. Just a pause for Remembrance and Celebration.

Just a pause for Remembrance and Celebration. A Pause For Remembrance and Celebration it is then. Bit long winded and pretentious, but hey, our leader has spoken.

Okay I know everyone else is leaving which seems unrealistic to me but we are going to stay to provide some order. I sent a scenario in to change troops from home with the survivors of Hellholt first.

That sounds good, Alex. Yes, I know, it is not fair for everyone to just say well, we're gone, and then suddenly they are back in their homeland, while we stay and have to provide the order. Bastards.

The prices we pay for the Kingdom. Not that there is anyone left to cause trouble really.

Alex, the Far Reach deserves to be rewarded nicely. I know you said that you don't want any rewards and the Far Reach wants to stay isolated, but this is twice in the last year that we, under your leadership, have greatly helped to save the Kingdom.
We have done everything that should be expected from loyal subjects, yet we seem to have been nearly the only ones to do it.

Well we will see what becomes of it. I like to make us seem to be above the squabbling but if you thought the war was bad wait to see what happens when the prizes are distributed, everyone will feel like they were left out.
