Cursing Brandon unfastens the cloak the guard have and runs as silently as he can in the opposite direction of the footsteps. "If you can, tell the guards about your problem," he sais to the guard before he takes off.

The guard dug out his own eyes with his thumbs, howling all the while.
Brandon entered the next room, which was a rectangular dining room with pictures of fornicating demons on the walls.

Brandon looks around for anything useful, like lamp oil or something to disguise him with. He also takes note of the exits.

There are four exits, counting the way back into the hall of mirrors. There are four chairs, around a long rectangular table, upon which sits a vase of black roses. There are no lamps.

Through his right, Brandon finds a large, marbled lobby, A large double door exit to the right leads to the garden foyer, and Hellholt's gatehouse. A series of stairs leads up the stairs to the bedroom levels.

Brandon felt conflicted, he could try to see a woman that might be possessed and who could slip a dagger in his back at moments notice. Thinking about it in that way he didn't feel so conflicted at all. He made for the double door to the foyer and opened it slightly in case there were some guards outside.

He can see the gatehouse from where he is standing, the portcullis is open. Brandon's foot steps clang against the metal beneath the thick myrish carpets. Suddenly, the Royce man hears a distinct "whoooshing" sound.

the floor is covered in carpet, everywhere he runs he hears the same "Clang" of footsteps on metal. The sound is getting louder. Suddenly, Brandon feels heat. real, serious heat beneath his footsteps.
A whole is being burned through the carpet, beneath it, a metal grill, and beneath it, a pit, filled to the brim with old dried logs, and the blackest pitch. The flame burns Blue and white.
A blood orange tree bursts into flame because of the heat. Brandon's own boot soles feel like he is walking bare foot in the dornish sands at midday.
Out of the corner of his eye, he can see the portcullis lowering.

Brandon runs towards the portcullis, attempting some magic to lessen the damage from the fire though not all of it as it seemed that it might slow him down.

(ooc: To lesson the damage from fire, I will give Brandon a light wound, to avoid taking an average wound, if he passes. Pass. Brandon is at -20)
Brandon's feet moved as quickly as his legs would take him, as he struggled to maintain his concentration, and shield himself from the flames. Brandon's lips cracked and bled, and blood dripped from his nose, and from under his finger nails. With a final dive, He slide beneath the Porticullis just as it came crashing down and a wall of flame arose at his back, singing the hair of his head, and the hem of his tunic. His boots were melting on his feet, as a column of black smoke arose from the foyer/death trap at the center of Hellholt.
"Mister, mister, are you alright?" cried a little girl came running towards him from the town a few yards away.
