He is let into the room and brought to a bed where King Rhegor reclines alone. He dozes lightly, almost asleep.

Ameron removed his dark mantle and his helmet, revealing that he was wearing a seagreen surcoat resplendent with the Velaryon sigil of a white seahorse.
Ameron knelt and bowed his head before the reclining Prince. His chain-mail armour jingled softly as the edges touched the floor.
Unbidden the tears began trickling down his face. The last of the Velaryons, not dead or imprisoned, wept silently.
Whether he wept for the ruin of his House, or at finally meeting the rightful King of Westeros, even he did not know.

Rheagor snorted fitfully in his sleep, and rolled onto his side.

At last Ameron rose and looked down on the sleeping Targaryen. He would not disturb the King, but would wait until he woke.
He moved to a stool that lay against one of the walls and sat watching, sometimes lost in deep thought. However he did not...could not... sleep.

Rheager awoke several minutes later, propping up on his elbows he looked to Velaryon and smiled. "Greetings, my loyal subject."

Ameron knelt once again and bowed his head.
"My liege. Ameron Velaryon of Driftmark at your service."
"I come here today to ask how I may further serve your cause as the rightful King of Westeros."

"I need dragons. Some one has stolen mine." Rheager replied, "Go get them."

If Ameron was surprised at the request, he did not show it.
"You had dragons my liege? I was not aware that live dragons still existed in the world."

"Their eggs were stolen from me years ago. And they were used to burn my brother, only a Dragon's fire could harm a Targaryen." he scowled.

Ameron nodded.
"Very well my liege. I shall do you as you command.
"However I shall need information about the circumstances of their disappearance, where they might be now, money and loyal Targaryen men to assist me in my endeavours. For in truth, at present, I know nothing about dragons or dragon's eggs.
"In return, I would humbly ask as your loyal servant that you provide a refuge here for myself, my servants and any of the remaining members of my family I can rescue from the clutches of the Baratheon murderer."

"All of my followers are welcome here. I have no info of where the Dragons are, but I believe they are further east then here." he replied.

"Very well my liege. At least that is a start. May I send out men to ask the magisters around Pentos the location of reputed dragon eggs further to the east?"
From his kneeling position, Ameron looked up at the man he acknowledged as King.
"May I ask my lord what are your plans in the meantime? Once we have dragons what will be your plans to recruit men to the Targaryen cause? Even Aegon the Conqueror of blessed memory did not take Westeros with dragons alone."

Rheager smiled to himself, "I have it on good authority that several houses will rise when I land with the Dragons." He replied

Ameron allowed a smile to flit over his features.
"That is indeed very good news my liege. I shall endeavour to serve you as best I may by attempting to find your dragons for you."
"In the meantime I have taken the liberty of setting up a spy network in Kings Landing that will work for the Targaryen cause. I also have men here ready to serve you, bought with Velaryon gold. We have ready and open access to Braavos, negotiated with the Sealord as well. I also have had detailed plans drawn up of the defences of Dragonstone as well as diagrams of the secret passages that will be useful when the time comes to land in Dragonstone. They will be left here in your possession for use when the time comes"
Ameron now looked concerned.
"However the knives of the Baratheon are everywhere my lord. My nephew the Lord of Driftmark, the defender of Dragonstone was murdered in Pentos by Baratheon agents. In his bed no less. We must take all suitable precautions to avoid this happening to you and your sister, the last of the Targaryens.
My great-nephew Monterys Velaryon is now the rightful Lord of Driftmark, but he is in the hands of the Baratheon. As are my wife and my son. My niece and nephew are as well. I intend on seeing them freed and joining you here. The Velaryons were with Aegon when he conquered Westeros. The Velaryons will be with King Rhaegar when he does the same."

///////
With Ameron's spy network in Kings Landing having observed the Velaryons before the abdication of Rickon, they had noted their departure for the west with Cedric Lannister. It had been a relatively simple matter for Gyleno Dothare and his men to follow them. Even so, Dothare had been surprised when the Velaryons had suddenly been freed. Lord Rhaegar' sister Aelinor a twenty year old and her brother 18 year old Viserys had quickly been secured by Dothare's men as had Ameron's wife and son 20 year old Aerys.
Lord Rhaegar's widow and her two sons had remained under the guard of Cedric Lannister, by their own choice, Dothare learnt later. After several failed attempts to also secure the young heir to Driftmark and his brother and after losing several men to the guards of Cedric Lannister, eventually Dothare had to cut his losses and retire to Pentos.
Ameron, on one of his frequent sojourns back to Pentos, after a mission to one of the Free Cities looking for dragons, naturally was overjoyed to see his long lost wife and son as well as his nephew and niece. By now a trusted servant of King Rhaegar, he welcomed them at the Manse of the Three Dragons and made sure to introduce the fair Aelinor to King Rhaegar.
