Robb realizes the more he spreads out his line, the more vulnerable they are to ambushes. He orders for the usual strung out scouting formation to be compressed, more like a regular battle line. The going may be a bit slower, but any dornish force who engages the line will quickly be met with many defenders.

Negative, this is all happening simultaneously as you scout different areas of the Greenblood
Round 1: Lord Lewys Lydden- Master Battle (3000 men) V.S (Lord Quentin Fowler, Legendary Battle 3,000 men)
Lydden: 136 Fowler: 172
West: 2010 Dorne: 2700
The Dornish under Fowler strike the West at multiple points along their route, and than quickly fade back into the Dornish country.

Lord Lydden orders to sieze any more supplies within the area, then retreat back towards Lemonwood in an orderly fashion. He also orders his line more compressed and tightknit, less strung out than the usual "scouting line".

Lord Tarly does not retreat, but keeps raiding food and supplies. His host goes forth cautiously, wary of ambush. They will only continue a few leagues furthur up the river before burning everything in sight after they have taken the food from there, and then retreat in an orderly fashion, still wary of ambush.
EDIT: I forgot to include Ser Oliver Bulwer, who is also in command.

If someone has, say, Beginner scouting or something of that nature, is better for them to have that than to have no scouting skill? When scouting? I guess I'm asking, do you get a bonus added on to your regular command skill (master for me) based on your scouting skill (apprentice for me, I think.)

Generally speaking no. Scouting is considered a specialization of the Battle skill. When a general skill (battle) faces a specialized skill (Scouting) in the appropriate situation, the general skill is usually weakened.
Example: In a scouting/raiding situation you are up against someone with Battle Master, your Scouting is Apprentice. we may lower his Battle to Expert, or even Noteworthy to account for the fact that this is not his specialty. similarly, broad skills like infiltration are considered more general, and less effective at specific tasks, than the more narrowly defined skills (Stealth, Disguise, etc).

Ah, thanks, that helped somewhat. So actually, I should probably be posting my scouting skill from now on when I'm commanding a scouting force?
