The tip of Marq's tongue licked his top lip as he grinned, "yes, I am no less capable in tourneys. Of course, it won't surprise you that my lance always gets it's intended target," he said, returning the wink.
"But tell me," he said, passing over the lewd joke, "you say you have been away from Westeros long, that is a terrible shame, you must have so many childhood friends you have missed." He smiled slyly.

Rhae's cheeks turned pink, but she laughed in surprise at his jest.
"I have indeed been away from home for too long," she said. "I missed this town, and King's Landing, and my friends..." she trailed away, and looked at him suspiciously. "But it seems my friends have forgotten me."

"Ah yes, Aranya, you received Duskendale for your loyalty while I received a magic sword for my treason. I think I pulled the better end of the bargain in that one," Aerie laughed into her wine, one eye trained on the little Rhae Rykker. "I recall when I was your 'captive.' What fun we had! Did that lump on your head ever recede?" Her words remained good-natured.

"If it makes you happy, Aerie," Aranya said gently. She had a slightly softened look on her face. Then she noticed Aerie looking at Rhae, and rolled her eyes as if to say, she's always like that.
"You haven't seen my brood of pups, have you Aerie? This here is my daughter, Selyse," she indicated the small girl with a mass of dark hair and a limp. Selyse regarded Aerie with grave, keen grey eyes, and smiled and bowed her head.
"Rhae is Brynden's fiancee," Aranya waved a bit carelessly to Rhae, who turned and greeted Aerie very politely.
"Brynden's not here, he's with Ser Benfry in King's Landing, but that one there is Lewyn Snow, Goldface's bastard," and she waved again to the pale, clever-looking boy by Ser Jonjen Hill. "I've a mind to send him off to the Citadel. It's what he wants."

Tallahar looks at the young bastard, "Strange to have a bastard son of your once enemy Lady Royce?"

"I promised him I would take care of the boy, Lord Tallahar," Aranya said. "The child is not responsible for the deeds of his father. And his mother too was an innocent."
Lewyn did not say a word, but watched the conversation while talking with a young knight.

"Only if the Lord Regent would agree with that." Tallahar realizes what he has said then stops and looks back at Aranya, "So are you going to go to War?"

"Only if the Lord Regent commands me to," Aranya said. "He hasn't called on me to rally my men yet, so until he does I'm sitting here. I have no quarrel with Dorne. If my King or his Regent ask me to go to war, then I will. It is a pity," Aranya said. "I liked Emelia. What is this new princess like?"

Aerie nodded to each in turn, reserving a special sort of smile for Rhae and giving Lewyn a particularly long stare before moving on. "Yo have quite the brood, Aranya. I suppose now I will have to show you mind as well."

"Do you have daughters, my lady?" Selyse asked, speaking up for the first time. "How old are they?"
"Speaking of my children, I have other children to worry about. My horse's children. They have still to recover completely from the stormy voyage we took from the east, but they seem to be settling down well. Captain Snow's offspring," she explained. "Three stallions, and a whole bunch of mares and fillies." She smiled a little sadly. "I miss that bad-tempered bastard. I recall you had a favorite too. That lovely blood bay."

Jonjen Hill looked at Tallahar and grimaced, "Interesting for a proven Betrayer to comment on the bastard of one." He grips his knife hard as he stares at the Dawn Raider.

"Lady Tristeza is a ambitious snake. She only married and backed Lord Blackwood because that would gain her more power. When I had heard of her declaring the independence of Dorne I was not surprised. She wanted fame but all she'll be remembered for is bring death."

"I do," Aerie replied, "though they are considerably younger than yourself." She paused. "I have one who is older. I think you two would get along splendidly together."
Aerie turned to Aranya in interest. "You have all his progeny? He was quite a well-built horse, if I correctly recall. No better than my Aranchy, however," she added with a wink. "He still is my favorite. Those two are some fine stock."

Aranya gave Ser Jonjen a warning glance. "I'll have no insults or arguments at my table, Ser Jonjen."
"She sounds a lot like Emelia, especially the ambitious part," Aranya said, as the next courses were brought in, beef ribs baked in a sauce of wine, currants, and onions, and venison pie with honey and spices.

Jonjen Hill stood his eyes locked on Tallahar Tyrell, "Next time you decide to pick on the weak, Lord Tyrell remember there are those with strength and bravery willing to remove your heart with pleasure." Hill turned and walked from the feast.
