bio:
born to Lord Roland Royce and Shahi (Snow) Stark, his father was imprisoned and died in that same tower cell. That of course made him quite bitter towards the King and his ilk. Brought up travelling around the Vale visiting lords and the people he feels an obligation to make the Vale the best it can be.

He squired for Lord Justin Hightower who is married to his cousin. And on his return to the Vale he lead a force against the Mountain Clans that had been stirring and decimated them.

physical description:
Height 5'57 feet. He has broad shoulders like his father though he lacks the stubborn jaw. His brown hair is worn down to his shoulders as his father had. His brows are thick and dark, almost making his face set in a permanent scowl contrasting his emotions most of the time.

reputation:
known for dealing with the mountain clans and for being an apt student of warfare having been taught by his uncle Ser Scot Royce.

7) Character Personal History:

Brandon Royce is the baseborn son of Howland Royce and of courses his mother, which even he did not know the true name of. His mother had forgotten it during her training as a “Sorrowful Man”, or woman if you like, and had used so many other names during her life that it didn’t matter. Though Brandon could not be absolutely certain of his parentage.

If she wasn’t his true mother, she was his mother in the ways that counted. He felt like her apprentice sometimes as she taught him bits of her trade outside of the temple. He learned different languages, how to fight, how to move unseen, how to brew a poison and most important of all he learned how to disguise himself. It wasn’t as good as the glamour the faceless men used, but it was sufficient. He wouldn’t learn that unless he went to the temple, and he had no wish of that.

His mother also had another apprentice called Baelor. She had found him abandoned on the docks and taken him in. Baelor and Brandon became like brothers. Baelor used to follow Brandon whenever he duelled in the city until he also began to challenge the younger Bravos.

Short after his 15th name day, or what he assumed was his name day, his mother had become ill. It had happened so suddenly that it had to be a poison, but it was not a poison they knew and so there was no cure. On her deathbed she had told him who his father were and that “no one” had poisoned her.

After that he had taken some guard duties among the merchants, borthels, and most memorably the courtesan Black Pearl, while his brother worked at The Happy Port serving and occasionally entertaining the guests with a song or two. Brandon often played the harp while his brother sung. Sometimes they were called the Bravos duo, but due to the recent events in Bravoos it had become more tempting too travel westwards to his fathers lands.

Brandon eventually married Lady Linea Waxley the daughter of the late lord Waxley. The heir to Wickenden caught a sickness a few years after he succeeded his father leaving no heirs as his wife had been proven barren. Lady Waxley kept her name as to bring the House Name on to her children while Brandon felt more comfortable being a Royce, due to his travelling and companionship to most of the lords or the lord’s late father’s none looked too askance at this.

When Runestone was attacked by a band of 6 000 mercenaries, Brandon was singlehandedly responsible for a 1 000 of their deaths, the killing of their commanders and the desertion of a 1 500 men.

He prefers fighting with a Bravos sword, but can also fight with other manner of swords.

8) Character Physical Description:
Slim as a spear though not as tall as one. Brandon is of average height. His gray hair is worn loosely down to his shoulder. His face is comely though he’ll never be called beautiful, wrinkles . He has pale skin as usual for Quartheen. He has dark blue almond eyes that seldom betray his feelings. His long fingers are suited for the harp even if their calloused.

Brandon is known as the Silent Sword as he never speaks or taunts during a duel or fight.

Acknowledge as a Hero of Duskendale by his cousin Aranya Royce, for delivering Duskendale from the fanatic hands of the Red Priests bloodlessly.

Played the harp at the grand council, at Robb Tarly's wedding ceremony. Composer of the song/poem "Temptress from Hell"

More recently known throughout the Vale as The Burnished Bronze, due to his actions against the Braavosi mercenaries. Stories told in taverns and brothels say that he has cast a curse upon all enemies and invaders of the Vale.
