I'd like to know what happened to the 4,000 men from Dragonstone that had joined Lord Velaryon's men at the encampment and were under his command.
They had sailed from Dragonstone, landed at King's Landing and had marched the short way to the foritified encampment, (all previously posted before the battle)

The easiest answer I have for you is that this battle happened after it should have. Given the number of orders I asked for it took Smith a few days to write up the situation which had actually happened before.

The battle couldn't have happened before the successful assault on Rosby Castle. By that time, especially given the rate at which game time passes, I would have considered the men from Dragonstone were on their way. Given the time delay between the assault on Rosby Castle and the assault on Lord Velaryon's camp and the distance between Dragonstone and King's Landing by ship, the 4,000 men certainly would have been in King's Landing before the assault on Lord Velaryon's camp. From King's Landing it's only a couple of hours to Lord Velaryon's encampment.
Oh well.
Anyway whatever the Smith has decided about the battle, at the very least there are 4,000 extra men from Dragonstone in King's Landing.

This kind of time delay between when orders are given, and when the battle is rolled is not uncommon, just based on the massive number of orders Smith receives and the time it takes to roll. The Iron Born and Reach are still arguing over whether the Iron born attacked the Shields before or after the war ended.

I remember when he posted about the 4,000, it was like a day and a half ago I think. Taking the delay though, it seems like it would be fair to say that those guys should be added to the garrison in KL.

That's a Smith call, but they are definitely going to be in play somewhere, and a dangerous factor.
