As things cool down into peace (or near peace) I am soon going to do a time jump. This would push us forward anywhere between 1 year and 10 years, that is up to you all. This is to allow people to play characters (their children included) at different points of their life, not just the teens (which so many of you are in the thick of).
If people wanted to choose new characters (if they are already middle-aged or thereabouts) they could, but I would encourage you to stick to your character. The time jump would preferably be 3 or 4 years for which I would write a summary of events (and each player would likely write their own scenario concerning the time that was missed) and it would allow everything to settle in.
The way time moves now it is just a hotbed for tensions, and if ya'll continue to bloody yourselves then you might all die out!
That being said, I will allow you to discuss amongst yourself what you think is the best option for the time jump.

i think this would be a good idea, for 3 or 4 years anyway. I think it should happen in another 6 months or so though, as there are a lot of storylines going on right now

It would likely take place in about a week.

Sounds like a cool idea. I would agree with Wormy that it should be 3-4 years.

I disagree, we may have plans for Dorne before things cool down and everyone is back to tip top shape.

Right, I have discussed that with Emelia. I would consider letting that play out first.

Alrighty then.

It would likely happen -after- the situation with Dorne is concluded.

Yeah. If Aegon's going to fight now, we can continue; otherwise we can TJ.

I have no problems in principle although it would be a bit wrenching for some characters. As a fairly new one joining I would have liked some more time to "establish" myself the way others have done but happy to go with the consensus

All my plots and plans ruined... ruined I tell you.
On a serious note, I would prefer not to lose any time. But I will go with the majority. I guess I am more worried about time slipping away because I am so OLD.

I am also considering allowing players to make a second MAIN character to accommodate for that.

How do we decide when someone dies? (of old age that is)

Also, will skills improve during downtime?

You do the deciding, and I will give players the option to improve one skill to master and one skill to apprentice.
