"Listen Ser Garin, here is my situation, let me explain it so you can understand. I have declared war against the sitting power in Westeros. His forces outnumber my own, I have no allies and my back is against the wall. If I decide to March on King Landing then I am going to take the Rose Road through the Mander and if your forces try and stop me then I will destroy them."
"The men and women of the Mander our are closest kin, but you are on the opposite side of this conflict. I am a man of honor and I cannot let a man act against the King. If you take Horas's side you are a traitor and deserve a traitor's death. However, if you stay out of my forces way then I will not seek out battle with your forces."

"Listen Ser Garin. I do not want to fight the Mander, but I am a man of honor and I cannot guarantee that our forces will not see conflict. I have my job to do and I will do it, with or without the help of the Mander. If you don't get in my fucking way then I am not going to fuck with you, but if you are serving Horas then I am sure you already have a Raven waiting for you at High Garden telling you to March on me and then your truce won't be good for anything but wiping your ass with. So no, while I do not seek war and have no intention of invading the Mander or fighting your forces, I cannot sign a truce with someone who is serving the Traitor Horas Blackwood."

"Very well then." The man turns his horse and rides off.

Alexander shakes his head, before going to back to planning his funeral.
OOC: There are extensive fortification surrounding Alexander's encampment, we aren't sitting in a field picking daisies. You had to dehorse and submit to search. So you would have had to walk about 2 km before getting back to a place where you could ride off. Just stating this for the record. Horn Hill had extensive fortifications created for the Andry Conflict.

Robb dismounts, his boots and clothes muddy from the scouting trip. After returning to his chambers in the castle and washing up, he went to Lord Irwyn's solar that he had been using while the army was present and informed the guards that he would like a word with the general.

Lord Tarly is shown into Alexander's camp as soon as the Mander represenative has passed. He frowns, "Robb, nice to see you, how are you fairing?"

"Better than I was, Lord Irwyn. The scouting expedition was a great help. I think I just needed to get out of these.. familiar walls for a while," Robb said, motioning to the strong battlements of Horn Hill. "But you know that I am thirsty. Thirsty for vengeance, that is," he said, tapping his sword.

Alexander gave a half smile, "well I assure you Robb that time will come faster then we'd like it I am sure. I just told Lord Blackwood's messenger where to go, he threatened my family which is stuck in King's Landing. The man's smart but his heart is as black as a crow's coat."

Robb nodded grimly. "I have brought some information, Lord. I accompanied Ser Oliver in the scouting party, and I thought you oughta have a look at this," he said, handing the man a report Robb had prepared himself.

"Excellent work, it does not surprise me of what you encountered. It shows the importance of maintaining a vigilant patrol."

Robb smiled at the praise. "There was another matter I wished to speak of, Lord Irwyn. I know you are busy, but it will take only a moment. As one of the more important men in the Far Reach now, I need an heir. But... one needs a lady wife to accomplish that goal. You are very powerful, and I am inquiring as to whether there is a certain important match that can strengthen our cause in these uncertain times? I would gladly consent to anything that bring me one step closer to the usurper," he said, cursing softly under his breath.

Alexander laughed, "Well I have never been much of a matchmaker, but I will keep my eyes open for any suitable ladies, unless you have your eyes on one already and would like me to intercede on your behalf."

Robb suddenly felt foolish for broaching the subject at this time. "There will be plenty of time for talk of women after the war is done," he jested. He bowed and retreated from the camp back to his castle.
