Tonight. I've been trying to persuade he Smith to allow me to catch and sink Harlaw's ship, I'm still waiting on a PM reply from him. If I can do that though, the attack should come simultaneously.

I can PM Smith the battle plans, and have it going by tonight. Can the attack on the iron islands be launched by tonight?

I suppose, but I won't be taking any part in it (nor will my men) until I get back to Fair Isle, and I can't arrive there until at least tomorrow.

What you should do is launch your attack of Bear Island tonight, so that by tomorrow the Ironborn have shunted a portion of their fleet north to re-take/defend it. When they do that, you hit them from the Crag with the rest of the Western Army, and then I can sail up from the south and take them from that direction.

Ok, so once Tytos and Roland's proclamation is announced, Horas will be in a very weakened position. Hendry has promised not to interfere with our war against the Ironborn (and he will also not put either me, Maurin, or Marten on trial for our actions in the melee) if we support him over Horas, who hasn't really given us anything except clemency for the murder I comitted.
Who should we support?

I for one vote against Horas, I never liked him and he has nothing offer us except a probably betrayal in the future. But Lewys is just a lord of a minor house, so of course, my opinion hardly counts. ;D

Let`s see who has the advantage....
Another question is whether I should just marry Jeyne Lannister. Our ally Roose Stark was interested, and he is much closer in age...

Wouldn't this give up Casterly Rock to the north? Roose would be lord of Winterfell and Casterly Rock.
Who are the other candidates for a marriage with young Jeyne?

Well my son is fostering in Casterly Rock, I had hoped to marry him to Jeyne when the two are of proper age (he's 11, she's 9 atm). But that's not the most politically useful of marriages. I don't think you should marry Jeyne to a very important lord though, as he might have aspirations on the Rock.

Whoever marries her becomes Lord of the Rock, right? Therefore, I think we should marry her to a westerman, unless we want for some reason to be combined into another kingdom in Westeros under one lord.
Of course, this isn't really my decision, just throwing in my opinion ;D

No, the man who marries her becomes the Lord Protector of Casterly Rock, and their firstborn son becomes Lord of the Rock when he turns 13, even if his mother is alive I think.
However, if he is already an important lord in another kingdom, he might want his firstborn son to be his own heir, and his second born son (who would take his mother's last name) would become Lord of the Rock. I would prefer to marry her to a westerman as well, though the decision is ultimately up to Maurin.

Well, if it will seal a long-lasting alliance between North & West in all conflicts, I vote for Roose. However, Roose is still young, and I know a lot of northern lords do not like him and he could be out of power in a few years.
If not Roose, I vote for a western boy.
