What was Marten thinking?

You know what would have been better?
If, after Felryn, Erik, and the likes were on the ground. They trampled them with their horses.
That way, they would probably be killed. If they were not, then they could say that a melee is confusing and they didn't realize that their mounts were trampling on bodies.

That could have worked a bit better. (and please don't say these were the guys you were talking about getting crossed off the list)

Yah....they were....
I thought Marten had suceeded....
But I had no involvement in planning it. Marten should have contacted me and we could have done it the way I said above.

If worse comes to worse, and the crown finds the Lannisters guilty, I'll have to turn Marten in.
It's in Roose's character to uphold his own type of justice.
However, if he sees that a greater law can be upheld by breaking a lower one he'll gladly do it. Hence his short rebellion against Piers Bettley.

Maybe we'll be lucky and no one sends a messanger until the Others come. No that wont happen.

Hey, it was Maurin who paster the murder attempt, without even telling Marten.
Now, what to do in the coup situation.... I don`t trust Horas, for once.

Neither do I.
However...if we support Horas it will force the Ironborn to Benfry's side.
And Horas is against Piers...
And Roose was against Piers in the rebellion...

Actually, I am not going with Benfry.... he is commoner! Ancient House aren`t taking orders from this guy.

Just made a deal with Horas. The investigation against you will stop.
However, if word ever reaches Roose about the murder attempts against the Ironborn, lie to him and say the accusations are false.
Roose, though he is no friend of the Ironborn, would clap Marten in iron and ensure justice was served.

I don`t trust Horas, for once. Wait you trusted Horas once? Weird. Who else is supporting Horas? Dorne and the riverlands definately. Anywhere else?
