I'd also say that Ser Pedric would also be a little off guard, from being charged out of nowhere. Maybe?

Yeah but by then Benjy already has the momentum of a full charge, plus his weapon drawn. Even if he's say twenty yards, a horse can close that distance at a full gallop in a few seconds, while Pedric is spinning around, registering the situation, drawing his sword, and assuming a defensive stance, to fight off a mounted attacker charging at him.
Granted Pedric is a great swordsman and he's of the kingsguard so you know he can draw and be ready for an attack quickly, but even the second and a half it takes him to do that is time for Benjy to close on him. It should be an interesting and close fight I think, if the element of surprise, so to speak, is factored in on Benjy's side of the rolls, or at least the first roll.

I think this one should probably be left for the Smith, since there's a legendary fighter's life on the line, as well as some nutjob's.

I agree - but if Pedryc gets killed by some nutjob on a horse, he's not the legend he's supposed to be :-p
I give Benjy two rounds before he gets cut in half

Pew: 110 Legendary Mad Lizard: 70 Noteworthy
Round 1
Yew: 137 Mad Lizard: 76 (Heavy Hit -35)
The Mad Lizard charges the Kingsguard with a scream of bloody murder. In a flash the legendary protector of the King turned, drew his sword, danced nimbly to the side, and slashed, cutting the Blackfyre deep across his lower left side. The Mad Lizard fell from his horse and scrambled to his feet. Yew moved in for the finish.
Round 2:
Yew: 210 Mad Lizard: 67 (Heavy Hit)
As the Mad Lizard raises his sword to defend himself, Ser Pedric brings his blade crashing down, splitting the lunatic's cheap helm, and his skull, and most of his torso. The Mad Lizard falls to the ground instantly dead.

What can I say, the Seven look after women, drunks, and legendary swordsmen.

Told you. If he'd been Master/Grandmaster maybe but giving someone a 50% advantage before a dice is rolled is not going to end prettily. So end the Blackfyres I guess...
