Ser Laurence scowls as sheathes his blade. "His Grace the Master of Coin would offer a pretty penny for some proper action, I wager... don't know about you fellows, but the Regent ordered us to take Duskendale and I don't think pandering to some addled women and children is what Lord Bettley asked of us..."

Scav is sitting around a camp fire, cooking some meat, with some of the other infantrymen. He smiles and invites any who come by to share in his meal.

Bane nods, "I'm staying here so the Golden Roses are as well. As Ser Gallant is loyal he won't move the Guard. So if you miserable curs want to get into Duskendale so be it. But I warn you Dawn Raider won't listen to what you say."

Lady Aranya Royce rides up to the gates of the citadel at the head of a large number of troops. With her ride Lord Tallahar Tyrell, Lord Aegon Tyrell, Ser Jonas Waxley, Ser Jonjen Hill, Ser Jon Lynden, Lady Aerie Falgrave, at the head of a large number of troops. Their banners flapped in the breeze, and the guards at the gate spotted the standard that Ser Jonjen held - the black warhammers on a bronze field.
"Open the gates!" Aranya cried. "Or..."
The gates opened at once. The guards came running and knelt before her, and said that the city was hers.
Aranya was silent for a moment, a wondering look in her eye. Then she said, "It seems my cousin Brandon has not failed me. My lords, I believe our war is won. I am thankful to you for your aid, however, and ask that you come with me to the Dun Fort, so that I may feast you as you deserve. I hope my cousin Brandon will be there as well, but I doubt it."

"Indeed," Aranya smiled. "I prefer this. I want to thank you all for your friendship, and now I can settle you comfortably and feast you without having to clean a bloody city as well. Come!" And they rode into Duskendale.

The contingent from the Stormlands, including Ser Jeorge Estermont, are quite content that they will not be needing to fight today.

"I agree, we will bring 300 to the Fort. The majority of them will have to room in the city or set up camp, I fear." But Aranya smiled and led them in.

Aerie burst into laughter, concealing her mouth behind a shaking hand. "Indeed, Lord Tallahar. If only all our battles could be won so easily." She threw Aranya a highly amused look and followed after her.

Ser Jon Lydden did not look amused at the situation. I was denied my glory in Dorne for this farce? Shaking his head bitterly, he followed the knights into the Dun Fort.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
500 infantry men arrive from Deep Den. They had been sent on orders by Lord Lydden, who had thought there would be a battle to retake the city. It brings Ser Jon's total number of men under his command to 800.
