Ilisebeth unpacked her small trunk and began searching for a dress for dinner. She still held her figure well, for her forties, she thought to herself, not unpleased. Still with all the traveling she was doing lately, she was beginning to feel her age. After a bath however, she felt much better.

Garlan walked up , "Hello Lady Varner I of course was sent by Robert... I mean Lord Hightower to ask is there anything you wish of me... I mean need." Garlan is rubbing his hands and is clearly nervous.
Robert walks off with his saddle bags over his shoulder, "M'Lady and Garlan be ready with an hour and we shall supp."

Ilisebeth flutters her eyes prettily back at Garlan. Francis however just frowns. "It's to be business Garlan. I would like to move into my apartments and offices, meet the relevant lords, captains and men of business. And of course I shall like to see his lordship as well. Please make the proper notifications that the Lord Regent has taken up residence, and is prepared to serve the people. " As they enter the Hightower itself, Francis finally cracks a smile. "Also my mother missed you Garlan, so it was past time for a visit. I will count on you greatly to assist in this transition during difficult times."

Francis motions for the entire company to come to a halt and gazes over the man with a look that could freeze the Honeywyne.
"Steward, I will not have you speak to me in such tones. You will continue to steward here at Oldtown, because you seem efficient at it. If i desired otherwise, it would be otherwise. As for your betrothal you have failed to even begin the measures required of you, which makes me question how serious you really were regarding this marriage. I may have to reconsider it." He turns to Lady Varner.
"Mother. I'm thinking that it might be better if you returned to Stoatheart. I am not certain that the good steward will be able to concentrate with his beloved here distracting him."
Lady Varner smiled, her eyes sparkling at Garlan.
"Well, I would hate to be a distraction."

"Francis when you get to my age you will see that good things take time. You will have your up grades but I must acquire the money first some men do not take it to well if you say to them you are taking your share out of the business. They tend to get quite angry."
Garlan now stares Francis in the eye, "That is all I was asking for I was merely highlighting the fact of the power I wield here in Oldtown and if you were to be away with me certain problems may arise. Now I like you Francis you remind me a lot of myself and I will do everything in my power to see that your Regentship is long and glorious."
