"Nay. I'm afraid not. Possibly they are thieves up from Sun House. When the sky fell there was no end to the refugees, and with them thieves, bandits and murderers. Mayhaps some of them took up residence."

"Well we don't need them types in our land. I'll send word to increase the patrols on the border to prevent more undesirables from gaining entry."
"Also the man appointed to run Irwyn has run off, so I ordered Ser Gilbert to repair the Holdfast, she took some damage to the west wall but with a few new logs she should be back to her old strength," Alexander stammers.

As the two are speaking, Maester Timlon approaches, with a note. "A raven Ser Torn, from Lord Francis. He says that there is peace with the crown but that the reach has been divided into two in punishment. Apparently he's been made Regent of the Hightowers, who will rule something called "the Far Reach." Maester continued reading the message. "He also says that the Ironmen have attacked the Shield Islands, and that preparations should be made to protect the coastal cities from attack."
Ser Torn looked at the young knight. "Want the possibility of some real action Ser Alex? Why don't you give a visit to the Blackbars at Bandallon, I'm sure they would appreciate the help."

"It'd be nice to catch up with my mother, the men at Irwyn said she went to Bandallon to be with her side of the family when my father died and of course I'd never shy away from an opportunity to improve myself. Although somehow I think the Ironmen fight a bit harder then those thieves."

Ser Torn nodded gravely. "They are some of the meanest bastards this kingdom has ever bred. They are called Iron men for a reason. Give them no quarter Alex, if you face them, for you shall receive none."

"Well then Ser Torn, I guess I will rest here the night and then march at first light for Bandallon with any forces that you can spare from the men assembled. I am happy I can lend my services to the Commander Lord Varner has picked to lead the expedition."
