Clayton gets the message and reads it. He then reads it over again, and then a third. Lord Aaron Fossoway dead... What will happen to the reach? And Ser Cole dead too... Seems I am Castellan now. I should gather the people and tell them.
An hour later, all of the town is gathered in a big crowd. Clayton raises his hand, and they all grow silent. "Lord Aaron Fossoway, Regent of the Reach, has been killed. He was killed along with Ser Cole Tyrell in an ambush staged by the wretched Lord of the north, Lyas Bolton. Lord Seth Falgrave has named me Castellan, and as your castellan I will guide you through this war. He has sent 300 soldiers here, and once they arrive I will put them to guard duty to keep you all safe!" Clayton takes a moment for the people to take it all in. "Your Lord says that he will return as soon as possible, and he will return safe. Please, everybody stay calm and go about your normal duties. No harm will come to you while I am Castellan. Thank You." Clayton finished his speech and returned to the Keep, to go about his new duties as Castellan.
