After the arrival of new Regent, Lord Banefort, 15000 strong Westernlands force resumed its march towards King`s Landing, entering the Crownlands.
Marten and others that were with him, save Benedicta, join with the Army.
After a short rest, Marten immediately comes to see Lord Banefort.

Marten nods, trying to assess the man that he doesn`t know that well.....while he didn`t think that this man is particularly suitable to lead the West, he couldn`t show too much of his thoughts....
"It seems that things are going well, Lord Regent. My sister has apparently brought order to the Rock and Lannisport in yours and King`s name and has done much to stop the religious unrest. Past has been difficult, but in order to preserve anything of our former greatness and Baldwin`s legacy, West needs to stand united. Lords Bettley and Horas deemed you worthy to lead us until Lady Jeyne is of age, and I am sure they made a wise choice." -He suddenly grins and his voice lowers to almost a whisper.
"Of course there is a little problem that by the ancient tradition only Lannister can rule from the Rock, and you are not one..... but I think that solution is for you to listen to the members of our House....I understand that you and Lady Sara have much trust for each other... did she ever mention that it was upon my advice that she went to the West with her child?"

Banefort nodded, "I believe she did. And I do no tplan on leading from the Rock. Banefort is my home."

Marten stares at him in surprise.
"But as the Regent of the West, how credible you will be if you don`t lead from our recognized seat of power?"

He looked at Marten, "I will be credible enough. I only need to lead for a few years, and then it is Jeyne's turn. She can have Casterly Rock. I do not want it."

"Appearances are important, of course."- Damm, I am still no politician- Marten leans back, thinking what to say next.
"So will Lady Jeyne stay with you or in the Rock most of the time? Of course, someone needs to govern the Rock."

Banefort looks at Marten, "Yes they would. As long as you acknowldege that it is Jeyne's keep you may. I hated Randal." He nods to the other Lannister.

Marten is silent for a moment.
"Believe me, I wouldn`t strike against him if I didn`t think that he killed my wife. And I accept your offer , I want to help restore some of our former glory.....but Cedric would prefer it to be him, of course."

Banefort shrugged, "If you do not want the position, I will find some one else."

"I wish it.....I just wanted to warn you that Cedric is ambitious man....but maybe he will learn more reason."- Marten nods respectfully.
"I am grateful for this honour, Lord Regent, I will not fall in my responsibilities. Would you prefer me to stay with the army or immediately assume the responsibilities?"

"Stay with the Army for now. I may need good men during the Battle." Banefort replied.

"Then I will inform my sister to remain in the Rock, she seems to have the unrest under control."- Marten nods.
