The plant played hard to get and refused to talk back to the man. At least, he assumed the plant was playing hard to get. The plant was actually just a plant, but the frequent conversation helped him to grown, and soon enough, he was ankle high.

The winds of fate brought a dozen seeds along with a great breeze that rushed past the plant. Soon a few of the seeds found their way into the ground, but those that did were neatly nestled and within time they sprouted up from the ground.

Suddenly the man grew depressed, and would come to the plant as a place to cry alone. Many of his tears would fall on this plant, and moisten the earth around it.

A knight rides by hard, rounding the corner. Thirty seconds later he comes back, steps on the man's nads, re mounts, and rides away.

The man cries all the harder, pouring tears over this ankle high plant.

The guardians of the plant, the fire ant, secretly crawl up the man's arm while he sits, and begin to gnaw upon his softness.

The man realizes the fire ants in his clothes, and jumps up and stands running around. The man tramples both the ant hill and the plant while trying to be rid of the pesky insects.

The plant is bent and broken, abused by such a terrible fool. The man would surely one day regret this.

A young boy attempts to make a snowball and accidently unroots the plant with it. It is then flung at another boy several feet over.

A short, bubbly figure is seen walking down the path, up to his waist in snow. Maester Reed quietly hums to himself, until he spots a patch of green in the snow. Bending over he picks it up, examining it, "Well I'll be! What an excellent specimen!" Reaching into one of his pockets, the little maester pulls out a small pouch of soil, and placing the sprout in there, carries it, holding a hand over it to shelter the plant from the elements.
