Aranya quieted the horse with her mind, and after a few moments Seth's horse stood calmly again, swishing its tail and docilely waiting for its rider. She pulled out of its mind and let it be alone now.
She winced as Rhodri popped Seth's arm back. She knew how painful that was.

"Is he still knocked out?" Aranya said impatiently, dismounting from Captain Snow and walking over to kneel beside Rhodri. "It was just a fall from his horse onto the grass, not a tumble off a cliff." She opened her waterskin and splashed some cold spring water over Seth's face, and then delivered a stinging slap. "Wake up, sunshine."

"Let him rest," Rhodri says. "A fall from a horse can kill a man, no matter what the ground. We are lucky he lives. I wonder if his arm will still have any strength."

Seth awoke after a few hours, his head and shoulder in terrible pain. "Well this is certainly a wonderful way to start the day." He said sardonically.

Aranya gave him a scornful look. "I'm not surprised your horse bucked you off, with an attitude like that. And as for your little outburst," she leaned down, hands on her knees, and stared him right in the eye. "I don't even know you, Reachman or ironman or whatever the hell you are. I've never met you before in my life, except when you came to King's Landing with your tail between your legs and my aunt at your side. That is all I remember of you, and that is why I did not pick an argument with you. If anyone was picking a fight, it was you, and you ought to thank your stars that I did not choose to carry it on. I don't know where the fuck you got the crazy idea that I was trying to argue with you, when all I said was that my hound would guard us against an ambush. I have better things to do than to argue with a bitchy Reachman, I think. But the next time you show me disrespect, I will argue with you. And I'll do it with my sword, not my mouth. Got it?"

"Aranya, no more tantrums," Rhodri says. "We are here for a serious purpose, and I'll not have my allies fighting before the enemies show up."

"I'll take my leave, then." Seth announced, biting his tongue. What could would it do to insult a person who believed themselves to be so raised. "You could do with some humbling." Seth said to Aranya, standing up, his arm screaming at him.
Seth looked to Rhodri. "I'll see you when you return to King's Landing, then, Lord Arryn." With that he climbed back into the saddle and rode off, heading back towards King's Landing.

"I'm fine," Aranya said amiably enough. "I just wanted to make a few things clear. Now, about Keath - are you sure he's coming this way?"
She looked taken aback when Seth rode to King's Landing.

Seth was not stupid. He didn't know exactly what she had done, but he knew she had something to do with it, based on her explanation and Rhodri's curt admonishment. She's able to do something, and has too much rage in her than would be safe for anyone traveling with her. The farther away from her I am, the safer I will be. Seth thought.

"I wasn't trying to insult him," Aranya said. "But he insulted me, and I won't stand for that. If he isn't in a huge huff when we get back, I'll explain why he annoyed me, and maybe he can explain why I annoyed him so much that he blamed my moon blood. Which I actually don't have right now." Her mouth twitched.

"I would just suggest not speaking. That's what I do with most men who annoy me," Rhodri says dryly. "Jon is only ten feet from me, but you don't see us talking."

Aranya glanced over at Jon and chuckled. "I'll bet you fifty dragons that Jon goes back, buys Falgrave a beer, and they'll both have a grand ol' time bitching about me. No, I bet you your horse that they will."

Aranya grinned. Then she asked seriously, "Rhodri, what makes you so sure the Keath and his merry men are headed this way? They were fleeing us, my attack a couple months ago warned them away. I know Kennos likes the fun of it and might come back to fight us just for that reason, but we have to lure him."

"I was thinking of returning to the city, honestly. See if we can find Ser Kit some other way," Rhodri says.
