"Welcome, Prince Steffon. I would be glad to have you here."
She smiled at Vance's words. "I'm curious to see how hard you two ladies ride."

"I would be happy to show you after the feast tonight, mi'lady," Ser Vance says with a wink. "Perhaps a race?"

"That would be fun," Aranya winked back. "Although I didn't know you enjoyed races. I thought you'd like to take it slow."

"I take it slow when I take it easy -- only when a Lady asks," Ser Vance says.

Aranya laughed. "I will be sure to tell you how fast to go, then. We wouldn't want you to lose your boar when we go riding. You do so like the taste of it burned black."

"But of course, my dea--mi'lady, afterall, I want to taste fire," Ser Vance replies. "Now when is the Royce whelp going to finally find his spurs? I tire of waiting. If he takes too much longer, I may have to invite you to continue this conversation in my pavilion."

"Give him time to prepare," Aranya said teasingly. "My cousin is very thorough, and he is going up against a formidable foe."

"I make it a point of being ready anytime, anywhere," Ser Vance says.

"Nobody is ready for everything. What if I climbed into your saddle right now, would you be ready for that? What if Roland climbed into your saddle?"

"If you climbed into my saddle, sweetling, we would ride for hours. If Roland climbed into my saddle, I would walk."

Aranya laughed at that. "Poor Roland. First he can't get Benedicta, and now he can't have Ser Vance. Whereas I have considered bedding both." She grinned wickedly, and Vance couldn't tell if she was serious or spoke in jest.

Ser Vance winks. "What a coincidence. I've thought of bedding both you and Benedicta. Together would be best. But since she's not here, I'll just have to settle for you tonight."

Two men ride into Duskendale side by side, each armed and armored for the coming tournament. One man, by far the larger of the two, is attired in smokey grey armor. His shield bears a simple device: a black ring on a white field. The second man wears plain mail, but his cloak is stitched together from half a hundred materials of various bright colors. His shield is painted in a similar fashion to his cloak. Both men wear full helms that obscure their faces.
The Knight of the Black Ring and the Patchwork Knight sign up for the tournament of Duskendale.

OOC: I'm being waited on? Sorry, was out watching my nieces play some basketball.
Ser Roland had gotten into his full tourney armor and mounted his courser at the end of the lists. He knew the Knight of Diamonds well, but as always when working, Roland wore an emotionless mask and went about his tasks with complete sincerity.

"I would more than make for Benedicta," Aranya chuckled.
Another hedge knight rides in, clearly at ease in the saddle and holding himself with confidence. He introduces himself to the Master of Games as Ser Ulwick, and signs up.
