"If you fuck racoons to make gossip, I think I have little to fear, mi'lady. Ser Vance, care to join me elsewhere?" she asks the knight.

"Quite lovely town, isn`t it?"- Marten joins the company, looking with amusement at Ser Vance and Cyrella.

Ser Vance turns to the newly arrived knight and greets him. "Lovely sights abound here, Ser Marten. But Cyrella, I would loathe to depart, what with such noble company in our midst. It would not do to be rude to the Lady of Duskendale."

"It's much too busy," Ser Haviland replied; he was born a country boy. "But it's fun. You know the story behind the main inns? This one, Darklyn's Head, was made after the Defiance of Duskendale, when the Darklyns were killed and the Rykkers took over. Good place for Lady Royce." He chuckled. "And that one there, The Seven Swords, that's named after the Kingsguard. At one time all seven white knights were from here."

Aranya merely looked amused.

"Perhaps further inns would be named after us?!"- Marten laughs.

Alla Hunter smiled. "Do you plan to make such a name for yourself here, ser?"

"The Glittering Diamond? The Diamond's Lance? Diamondglass Inn? All would make good names," Ser Vance says, as if he has already thought about it. "Or perhaps the Lady's Diamond," he says, looking at Aranya.

Aranya and Alla both laughed.
"Perhaps," Aranya said slyly. "...that would be a good name."

A tall man pushes open the doors into the inn, he wears a plain sword, traveling clothes and a shield loosly hung from his shoulder. He walks to the inn keep and asks the man about rooms. When his back is to the common room, the sigil on his shield is exposed as Four red squares meeting at a green dot.
As he talks to the innkeep he seems to feel some one's eyes on his back and looks about the inn running his hand through his close-cropped blonde hair.

The wolfhounds barked loudly and rushed to sniff at him. Aranya glanced at her hounds, and then at the man. For a long moment, she did not speak. Then she strode over to him, the curious townsfolk parting before her.
"You declined to speak to me in the stands at the tourney grounds," Aranya said. Her voice was pleasant. "I remember you, mystery knight. I am Aranya Royce, Lady of Duskendale. And you are?"
The wolfhounds circled the knight. Two of them looked cautious, and protective of their mistress. The third one wagged his tail so hard that it was thumping against the knight's legs.

Turning around the man bowed, "I am Jonjen Hill. I am pleased to meet the Lady of Duskendale."

Ser Vance watches the unfolding situation curiously. He leaps to his feet, abandoning Cyrella. "Greetings friend! I saw your device at the joust. Ser Vance Hardyng, a pleasure."

"I'd bid you welcome to Duskendale, but I am as much a stranger here as you. Tell me, what brings you off the highway?" Ser Vance asks. "Will you enter your name in the lists?"

Jonjen looks around at the other knights crowded into the inn, "I should have known there was a tourny on. I am just looking for a house to serve for a couple months."
