The men look at Darien like they understood, maybe a tenth of what he head said.
"You sure you looking for the right Asha? Asha Sparr ain't no swords woman." The man said, grinning.
"But if you want her to play with YOUR swords, just go up to the Dead Eyed Fish Inn, and ask 'fer her." The other man laughed heartily.

"What my lord meant was her fighting skill. We know she wields the axe. It is just a figure of speech on the mainland," Rolf interjected smoothly. "The Dead Eyed Fish Inn, you say?"

The Iron born shakes his head as if to say "fuck'n Greenlanders" but he just nods.
"C'mon, let's get back to da game." Says the man with the spear, turning away from the trope and back to the dice.

Darien turned to Rolf. "To the inn then? I doubt these men will tell us more."

Erik sets sail from Pyke in the Lucky Bastard, making for Seagard. Theon Wynch is left in command.

Darryn arrives at Pyke, glad to be home. He looks around the Islands other people would call desolate and barren, but which let his blood sing songs of aeons of plundering and raiding.Finding that the people that live here are still harder than rock and as furious as the sea that clashes on the sides of his longship, the Angry Fish, Darryn gives his First Mate the order to pay the crew and take command over the ship while he will be gone and decides to have a room and a drink at the inn where he usually seeks to find further information on the situation on the Iron Islands.

"Strange time to arrive," The woman behind the bar says to Darryn as she marks down his room and pours his drink, "Some are like to call you craven."

Darryn turns to the woman and stares at her without understanding-until it dawns upon him that she must be referring to some events he has missed while being on sea, making haste to reach Pyke. Apparently things have changed. "What do you mean? I am here to serve the good lord of House Harlaw of Ten Towers. I've only come to Pyke to get information, so who would dare call me a craven for that?" He fetches his drink, takes a long gulp and hopes that the answer to come won't be too disappointing.

The bartender, a woman in her late 40s, perhaps, chuckles. "Damnfool reavers. Go out for years, and expect the islands to stay the same in your absence. There's war in the Green Lands. Erik Greyjoy, or Coldiron, or Pyke is our king now, or one of the Harlaws, depending on who you ask. Greyjoy set sail a few weeks ago, they say he went to fight in the Riverlands."

Darryn blinks repeatedly and quick, not trying to show his utter surprise. He'd like to ask her to reply what she said, but refrains from doing so, being afraid to appear even more foolish then he already does. "Good lady, what are the Harlaws doing if a Coldiron, or Greyjoy, or Pyke is roaming the Riverlands?" That is why there seemed less ships and less men to be around than I remembered. Hopefully the Harlaws are planning something.

"Don't know much about the Harlaws, myself. But they say Dagon Harlaw, who was Lord after his father Felryn was killed, and named himself king, died in his sleep in Riverrun. He was still almost a boy, so I can't imagine he had any grown sons. Uncles, I imagine, but I don't know exactly who made the claim. Volmark stands with the Harlaws, but that's the only one I've heard. They say that, once the fighting is done, 'King' Erik intends to have a moot, to decide whose line shall rule in years to come. But this is Pyke, and we follow the kraken."

"So you mean to say that even the lord I'm supposed to serve by, well, family customs is in the Riverlands and he might be dead? I really do seem the craven. How is Erik Greyjoys army faring? Does he have any successes? How many captains have set their sails for his cause, and who are the most prominent ones?" Judge a man by those who follow him, Darryns father had said.

"For the moment, most seem to accept him. At least until the fighting's done or he gets himself killed. Haven't had much word yet, but I think he was heading for Raventree Hall." The barmaid purses her lips and thinks for a moment. "Let me see, his captains...those that've followed him for years, as I recall, you've got Qarl the Beaver, Skyte the Hatchet, Sharp Jym...Harrin Three-Fingers, too, of course, but I hear he was killed off of Seagard...more, I can't recall all of them."

Darryn quickly considers the names he has heard, and thinking he remembers hearing some of those being spoken with awe and respect,he decides that following a Greyjoy and seeing a kingsmoot would not be the worst thing. But duty's first."Well, I should leave to the Riverlands then as soon as possible. But first, I'd like some fresh soup, and tell me who could give me more information about the Harlaws."Darryn hands a couple of coins to the woman, gratefully smiling, aware that he will not seem as foolish as he did now next time.

She begins pouring out some soup, while telling him, "Ten Towers would be the place to find out about Harlaws, wouldn't you think? Short of that, I don't know. Not much news coming into Lordsport these days."
