Temilade was rudely awakened from a pleasant dream reminiscing about the time he had been given 3 slave girls for his 21st birthday. He blinked, sneezed and sat up, holding his head. He looked up, red-eyed at the Second Naemyr and fumbled for the clothing. Had he slept with the wench? He could not remember. "What?" he said, as her words came to him through a veil of drowsy fog "What do you want from me? Most of the gems I brought with me, I gave to the Sealord". He scratched under one armpit and yawned, trying to shake some alertness into his being.

"Not gems," Elane said. She seemed to read his mind, and smiled. "You spent the night in this bed alone, my prince. I might have given you a girl, but I think you were too tired and overwhelmed by the wine."
She perched on the foot of his bed. "Not gems," she repeated. "Three of your swan ships and their archers, my prince, that's all I ask."

"Hmm, soldiers?" That seemed to awake him to full alertness and he studied her cautiously, all thought of the Sealord and last night gone. "What do you want soldiers for?"

"Just archers," Elane said gently. "Your lovely archers on three swan ships. Never mind why, and don't worry - I don't propose to try and make war against some prince with only three ships behind me." That set her to laughter. "In return, tell me frankly what you want from the Sealord."

Temilade looked troubled "My lady, it may only be three ships to you but it's still my men and as such, I need to know where they'll be". He held up his hands at her protest and continued "Not what they are doing, although be aware that my officers will tell me eventually, but if some of my men attack an area I will need to put in place certain sureties against retribution". He scratched his bald head "It seems a high price for a mere formal recognition of my position from Braavos and, after meeting the Sealord I am wondering if that is even worth anything!" He said, pulling a face.

"Then no archers," Elane relented. "Just three ships, I'll find my own crews at my own expense. Is that too high a price for dazzling Prince Temilade?" Her eyes twinkled.
"Formal recognition?" her mouth twitched. "Lord, for formal recognition, you could merely have sent shiploads of gifts as a gesture of good will, and any ruler would have formally recognized you. If you came yourself, taking the trouble to leave your country and sail across the Summer Sea and the Narrow Sea, something else must have brought you here, surely."

Temilade shrugged "Three ships would provide no difficulty. I had thought to see if I could expand some trading links whilst I was here but the first priority was as I said. Away from Braavos all you hear are what they want you to hear and gifts from abroad can be equalled by my rivals. I wanted to meet this Sealord face-to-face to show my desire and measure his mettle. I did not realise that there were other merchants seeking to do the same" his eyes glittered dangerously "That may be something else to deal with while I am here. But there was no ulterior motive at play my lady. I am but a simple man" he spread his arms with a disingenious smile.

"I am acquainted with many of the traders in the city. One trader you would do well to meet is Ollo Tregario. I've only met the man once, but he's one of the two or three richest merchants in the city. If you would like, I can arrange a meeting."

Temilade shrugged "It never hurts to make more money. I apologise for my behaviour last night, my lady. The voyage must have been more tiring than I had guessed. I will see about obtaining your ships". He levered himself off the bed and began changing into the clothes Elane's servants had given him, without any thought for who may be watching.

"Thank you, lord prince." Elane bowed her head, then backed up in alarm when his clothes dropped. "My prince!" she protested, blushing furiously. "I am a priestess, and a maiden!"

Oh by the gods. "I mean," Elane said, remembering that she was supposed to be pleasuring herself with the slave boy. "Er - there are other ways to, er, pleasure, without...losing...you know."
Her cheeks were flushed pink and she wanted to die. It had been genuine shock that had made her blurt out that she was a maiden.

Temilade looked confused "You are? I forget how prudish you pale-skins are. Where else am I supposed to change?" He gave her a quick lewd wink "Maiden too? You don't know what you're missing..."

Elane felt a little disoriented. He was naked, although thankfully his back was towards her. She kept her gaze determinedly on his ears.
"A priestess may take her pleasures as long as she remains a maiden," Elane said primly, pretending that she wasn't blushing again. "And, er, you...I'll just wait outside, shall I?"

He shrugged again, causing movements further down Elane did her best to ignore. "Sounds like an odd faith to me. If everyone followed religion that way, your gods would soon run out of worshippers!" he barked a loud laugh at his own wit and began pulling on the pantaloons.

Elane colored again, and went outside with as much composure as she could muster. The thought of the swan ships calmed her down again.
While she waited, she ordered for a messenger boy to go to Ollo's house. It was not far from hers, and the messenger boy knew the way.
