Tristeza nodded defferentially, "As you wish, Lady Royce, though I am afraid my presence will be necessary when Lord Delinal makes his counter-offer. Good night." As the foreign woman disappeared into her chambers, Tristeza did not linger, but swooped off silently into the expanseless dark corridor.

A few hours after the Sealord's steward summons her, Aranya swept from her chambers in a gown of green silk, accompanied by her guards. She seemed pleasant and calm, and went to the Sealord's chambers for his private dinner.

He was led to Aranya's chambers. She rose to greet him as he was ushered inside.
"Lord Felryn," she said, her eyes dark and languid as she came to him and cast off his cloak. "I trust you had a pleasant walk through the city?"

Felryn stared at Aranya, wondering what the meaning of her formality was. He glanced around the room, but he was too busy mentally undressing her to much care what her reasons were. He shook his head at her. "Braavos is a wretched city," he said.

Her arms went around him and she pressed lightly against him, lifting her face to his. "This palace is even worse," she said. "And its Sealord the worst of all. But enough of that. The wretchedness of Braavos ends right here," she kissed him, pushing him against the door and opening his shirt.

Felryn met Aranya's kiss with hungry eyes and an eager growl, and responded by quickly ripping at her own clothes as she pressed him against the door.

Aranya sighed and melted against him, hopping up into his arms.

Felryn held her up as he kissed her lustily and spun them around, pressing her against the door to help prop her up. Aranya's quick hands had managed to undo his breeches and his manhood stood proclaiming the desire in him. He shifted her weight into one arm and with the free hand he hitched up her skirt and pushed into her with urgency.

Aranya's moans grew louder and louder. The door banged and rattled under the fervor of their lovemaking. When it was done twenty minutes later, Aranya collapsed and leaned forward onto Felryn's shoulder, panting. Her arms were tight around him.
"I missed that," she said huskily, kissing his ear.

He carried her to the bed and dropped her unceremoniously onto it. Falling down beside her panting and exhausted, barely able to speak. "Wine," he said through laboured breaths.
Felryn was annoyed to find that he had too missed it. The whores of Braavos, while talented, did not provoke the same effect in him.

She brought him a glass of cool wine from the cabinet, and handed it to him, smoothing back his hair. "Felryn..." she began, and then hesitated. She sat beside him, quite close, and her arm quietly slipped through his, her fingers quickly lacing through his. She felt his strength beside her, and it made her feel calm. The ordeal at the palace this past week had had a greater effect on her mind than she liked to admit even to herself.

He gulped the wine down gratefully, not bothering to push away this time as her hand slid into his. He layed the empty glass down once it was finished and looked at her, the usual irritation he felt at seeing her giving way to another emotion.
"What?" he asked, looking back up at the elaborate ceiling of the Sealord's guest chamber.

"Did you send the prince off safely?" she asked, wrestling internally with conflicting feelings. She hated how warm he sometimes made her feel.
