Randal has himself and six others, with more on the way vs Marten, Maurin, and their household guards, some of which would be loyal to Randal.
This is all kinda confusing, so you can shorten it to simply those that are in the room (Randal + Guards vs Marten, Maurin and a few guards) or have the whole shebang with Randal's hundred men. Of course, none of this is confirmed yet, since there hasn't been a fight yet.

If there is a fight, Aethon Bolton is nearby and really really wants revenge for what happened to Elaena.

Wouldn't Maurin's guards be loyal to Maurin, rather than Randal? And wouldn't they be poised to stop anyone from leaving the room?

Lyas you know I want to see Randal dead as much if not more than you. However it happens as Smith posted so all we can do is hope that's what is going to happen.

What did the Smith post?
And, sorry, I'm a stickler for details.

He thought I was smith. But no, Randal should be able to turn some of them because,
A: He is there Lord B: He can offer them lots of money C: He can offer them whatever they want D: He can kill a few and then come back and ask again.

At the same time, they may not be loyal to you. We a couple of examples in the serious:
Renly, the Freys, the Boltons, and the split in the Reach lords (when some when to Stannis, and others to the Lannisters)

The Freys on a whole were pissed with Robb, Renly wanted the throne for himself and had the men and means to get it, don't know what you mean by the Boltons and with the last one the Lannisters offered the men better which is what I plan to do with the guardsmen, should it come to that.

Maurin and Marten are pissed off, someone probably wants the seat of Casterly Rock for themselves, and when Roose Bolton's bastard attacked the Stark men outside of Winterfell.

Their lives... Randal is a GM, probably the highest ranking swordsman there.
And may I ask why you all think Randal is gonna die? He has a hundred men, which is most likely equal to what Maurin has, and Randal's are the elite bodyguard (event from a long time ago) that he selected to be sure they were one hundred percent loyal while Maurin's are most likely garrison troops or peasants. And he has more men outside the door, and they will come crashing down.
On the subject of how many men Maurin has, I could never call up mroe than 500 when Randal was a knight and that was because he had the power of House Westerling with him, and they are a house, which is more than what Maurin would have. And he hasn't called up any (at least not that I know of)
Sorry, just showing that Randal has better odds than what you are making them out to be.

Actually this pretty much depends on who is manning the castle. If it's just regular men then yah, you can possibly turn them. If it's Maurin's own loyal guys then probably not, I can't imagine any of Eddard's guards turning on him.
You have to remember that castles formed tight, little communities. So if you kill one guard all the others see some stranger killing 'Fred' who used to go drinking with them, or someone's brother, or cousin, etc. I think treachery is far easier between rival houses and lords, not so much on the castle community level.

Good point, but this is really up to the Smith, and we haven't even drawn swords yet in Keyce.
Be back in half an hour.
