Can an Admin or Council member make a persuasion roll for Francis to calm an unhappy crowd.
Francis Varner Master of Persuasion, also offering free wine, ale and bread. He is backed with 100 armed Varner men-at-arms with another 400 waiting in reserve.
The Crowd- Around 100, mildly displeased with a Reach lord living among them.

Heh, I can remember the LA police tromping through the neighborhood in riot gear when I was at UCLA. Didn't make us happy at all  Food is good though so... 1-60 Francis calms the crowd 61-100 Crowd rebels 73 The crowd shows some interest in the wine and ale but then one of the guards jostles Mistress Hemming. She starts to harangue the soldier and then the bread and the ale mugs start flying through the air. Soon a riot breaks out. The guards manage to quell the worst of it but hard feelings are left all around. |

Hehe, but I don't think a 50/50 chance was really fair on this, Varner's skill in persuasion should definitely come into play at least. Though I don't mean to question your decisions, Gaea.  |

ooc: It wasn't my decision but I did notice that it wasn't 50-50, it was 60-40 in favour of Francis so I imagine Gaea did take it into account. Hell, even if it'd had been 70-30 in favour of Francis he would have still lost that call. I believe the saying is: "Shit Happens" |

Yeah. Just bad rolling for me whether is was 70-30 or 60-40 or anything else. Is there no standardized numbers for uncontested rollings like there is for the contested battles?
