Ser Alexander Irwyn (Expert Axe Fighting) wieldiing double axes is fighting two men (Novice Clubs). The first man is in combat at start and the second one will join in after three rounds of fighting, if the other man is not defeated. Alexander will accept yields and will retreat if severely injured.

ooc: Actually the admins normally suggest the levels for random NPCs in fights. Still reckon you have a decent chance as you're "Expert" level though. Most NPCs - especially street thugs - won't be anywhere near as good.

OOC: Okay, well I didn't know thats how it was done, I figured it was my story so I could choose the NPC traits. If the Admins want to change it, I am fine with that.

ooc: It works that way in scenarios (which are published in the Library) as you can write them pretty much how you please - all though bear in mind if you are an Expert you probably won't be somersaulting around doing backflips whilst fending off 10 faceless men - but in the 'battles & fights' thread you're basically asking the admins to do decide the outcome for you. Like I said, you should still beat these guys as they won't be "expert" level bad guys

Okay, I accept the suggestion that the thugs are novice and that the second man joins in if not defeated. If two men are fighting, the roll on their side will be 1.5 x (100 - average damage/advantage).
D100 +80 vs. D100 +50
95 vs. 108
Ser Alex comes out swiftly but the thug proves lightening fast, slipping away from the swirling axes, and landing a blow on the side of Ser Alex's head. Alex is lightly injured.
D100 +70 vs. D100 +50
168 vs. 115
Alex is pissed and gives a mighty one two blow in return, heavily injuring the attacking thug. He and the companion Alex sees lurking in the background flee. Clubs are no matching for Alex's gleaming axes today.
