oops... they are so forgetable. I am sorry fixing it now. Ahey may have 10,000 men active but Rhodri only took like 5,000 with him. So you have 5,000 in reserve.

Sorry to be anti-social Barrett! But I don't really have any characters in the Hand's Tower at the moment, and Yohn, well Yohn is just weird.
On another note, 15,000 man lyseni army? WTF? Shouldn't that have come up under troop movements? Shouldn't Callen's navy have noticed something? That's a fucking armada. Medieval ships...maybe 100 men apiece? That's a lot of ships.

Yeah, I was wondering about the Lyseni army. They weren't reported in troop movements and how did Bittersteel get hold of them? Also, I still find it really weird that the Dothraki are okay with crossing water all the time.

That did seem a bit unreal to me as well.

Yeah, well, let's see what the verdict is on that. And Barret, if you're looking for someone to RP with, I'm online for another twenty minutes or so, and you can find Aranya and Aerie in the funeral for Terrence. I plan to finish up their thing via scenario, but that has to wait for both Aerie and Smith to come online. Until then, you can meet Aranya.

To put 15,000 in perspective, not only is that a massive amount of ships (1/3 larger than the Iron Fleet), it's also just an absolutely massive army -- the whole of the North under Lord Stark only has 25,000, including conscripts. It would take massive provisioning to feed such an army, and if it is purely a mercenary force, meant to sell itself to a high bidder, well, no lord in Westeros could afford a 15,000 man merc army.

We should be wandering around King's Landing, heading towards the gate.

I thought the army Jorah had was his own mercenary company? I figured that would be about 3,000-4,000 men. I know the Lyseni agreed to transport him as they were coming to KL as well but I assumed that was in merchant ships, not with an army of their own. Callen's gonna freak out

3-4k seems more reasonable -- still big enough that it is a very potent force, but not so big as to dwarf native armies.

Ugh, check out the Jorah scenarios. The Lost Lions is a 300 year old sellsword company founded by Gerion Lannister. It has had time to grow, and one of the things it is regarded for is having awesome logistics due to Constance Stone (The quartermaster and negotiator for the company), they're kind of like the Roman army (not in formation or tactics, but in its ability to take care of its self). As to the Dothraki, only about 1/3 of the calvary is made up of the horseriders, and from the Dotraki you see in the Brave Companions it's obvious that not all Dothraki are adverse to sea travel.

So you do have 15,000 men? Damn. Don't suppose a certain squid could hire you? ;D

Sellsword companies aren't 15,000 men big. No one can hire an army that size. It's way out of scale with the rest of the game.
I still maintain, logistical mastery aside, that feeding that many men on that many ships and landing it on foreign soil is next to impossible.
150 ships. That's what we're talking here. Iron Fleet is only around 100.

Also, I have to say, no Free City would allow a sellsword company to grow to that size, because they would become a threat.

Iron Fleet is only around 100. Not right now sadly, but I'm going to get back there quickly
