I know we won't hit starfall but some ideas on this.
Alright how bout a big hit on Dorne, and then a trail of smaller hits in other locations. Like a comet breaking up. I think this would be fun because earthquakes and floods could give every player some reaction.

Sure, if we spread the minor impacts about we could even have some fragments landing in the Reach and the Stormlands.
Now, when we do this you just know people will come looking to make swords from the stuff. Shall we allow this? And for the minor ones, they will be too small to make swords but possibly daggers?

Yeah, and some maybe nothing if it went in deep enough.
So when do you want to unleash hell?

Shall we do so tomorrow night? I may start posting stuff like about a moving light seen in the sky, whether it is day or night though - to get people in the mood I was thinking the main impact could be between Yronwood and The Tor with some minor fragments landing near Stonehelm (Stormlands), Sandstone (Dorne again) and Sun House (the Reach). The earthquakes should devastate Yronwood and the Tor. A small tsunami caused by the impact could hit Mistwood. Sunspear should suffer minor structural damage but nothing major with effects getting more severe the closer to the crater

Do you think we should hit something they all feel. Those are all well and good, but there is not emotional connection. I want to say do something bad to Storm's End, but it hurts to write it. Which may make it the perfect place to hit.

Maybe we could have 2 major impacts then? One near Storms End - causing half the keep to crumble into the sea? And the other closer to Sunspear so the effects are more significant?

I do not think any one is attached emotionally to Sunspear, I do not even remember its description in the books, but I do think we should fuck up Storms End. I wish we could get Players there for the big event.

Well it's just that the original idea was to mess up Dorne in some way as they've had nothing of any consequence happen there.
But yeah, we can screw over Storms End. We could always announce local wedding or something and invite people but it's a bit deux es machina

Oh no I still want to mess up Dorne. Do not get me wrong, I just want a little icing on top.
And I feel the same way about the wedding, lets just let it lie. They can all react to the earth tremors they have to deal with where ever they are.
And they will all rush south the second it stops.

When this happens I am going to post a annoucement in all threads for people to write a little scene about what they were doing during the crash.
And here is what I am thinking for the actual event
A light explodes high in the sky, every one looks up thinking the see the rising of a second sun. They see the untimely setting instead. A bright light burns above them and arches to the south.
Then a distant crash can be heard. Like a man in armor falling at a far distance. Moments later the earth shudders, harder in the south then the north, but felt as slight hiccop all the way at the wall. Men looked around with open mouths, woman hug one another with fearful abandon. Babes and children cry. Is it the end of everything?"

Sounds good. Instead of a light exploding in the sky though how about:
The light gets brighter and larger over the course of a few hours as those watching think they see the rising of a second sun. The bright light burns above them and breaks up into several large lights before arching south.
A distant thunder is heard, like a man in plate armour falling from his horse. Seconds later, the earth heaves and shakes, harder in the south than the north but felt all the way to the Wall. Men looked around with open mouths and women hung to each other in fear as babes and children wail. They wonder is this the end of everything?
Closer to the impact, men and women are thrown from their feet as the ground shakes and moves almost like water. Buildings crack and tumble, fissures open in the earth and soon shrieks of pain and fear are heard as they cry to the gods for aid.
