The Great Council-Military Discussions Day

A whole day was reserved for the talk of war, alliances and hopefully peace.

Balor spots some of the Small Council and makes his introductions.
He smiles and nods to Lord Redwyne.

Lord Redwyne grudgingly tolerates Greyjoy in the name of peace.

Balor grins broadly and talks to a visibly discomforted Benjen Stark.
"Master of Laws is it? She's a cold mistress, is she not milord Stark?"

[The Smith]

Stark stares at Greyjoy, his face as cold as The Wall itself, "Aye, it is. What do you have planned Greyjoy. Why are you here."

Balor contrived to look surprised "Why I'm here at the bequest of the King, as you are". He sighed dramatically "I am always being misunderstood. How are you enjoying life in the south? You escaped the worst of the winter storms at least".

[Horas]

Lord Warren Blackwood motions that the military discussions begin with the formal surrender of House Greyjoy and their subsequent welcome back into the realm.

[The Smith]

"It is warm. And the company is pleasant." Stark looks at Warren Blackwood and smiles wolfishly, "Looks like some one else wants you attention."

[Princess Ariel Targaryen]

Emelia glanced to Warren. "I imagine the various matters of reunion within the Kingdom are political discussions, my Lord. There are no fewer than four new Lords Paramount who will take their oaths this day; two the sons of loyalists and two of those settling their oppositions to the King. All such matters are similar."

[Horas]

"No, my lady, they are not. All of the rest of the kingdoms have sworn loyalty to Iron Throne and been accepted back into the realm. Only Greyjoy has not. He is here, I understand, under a truce," Warren says.

"You understand correctly, milord Blackwood" he said calmly.
"I have no great desire to be at war with Callen. I never did. I am here to discuss the terms of peace between us. The terms he has offered are a starting point for our discourse, not the result of it".
He smiled grimly at Warren Blackwood "I am sure you and your family would rather continue of course, even though it could be argued that by chasing off the worm from Riverrun I aided your current fortunes rather than harming them. Oh well, what has happened is in the past. I am here to discuss the future"
