"The lords of the Stormlands respect you, they respect your name and your reputation. Besides, I expect that many feel that Dondarrion dishonoured himself with the trechery of the melee in King's Landing. As to the dragon, I'll figure something out. Mabye Reed will, he's more capable than he looks, and some of those inventions of his are nasty pieces of work. And if you do your duty (Callen felt it important to stress the word duty, something Grandison took to heart) well your son may one day inherit the duty our honourable Lord Dondarrion now holds." Men will often perform deeds for their sons that they would not do for themselves, not that I doubt Grandison, he's been true to me, and he deserves this honour thought Callen. "As for Storm's End, mabye, I'll think on it."

"Well, I will do my best, and do my duty. I will depart for Storm's End on the morrow -- you can stay here and rest if you want, or depart if you'd rather. I will then start my tour of the Stormlands."

Callen stood up from the seat he had taken by Grandison's bed and turned to leave. "I won't ask you to betray Storm's End to me Valwert, you took an oath and I respect that. Your one of the few men I know who will keep their word. However as you honor your oath to Rhodri Royce I ask you that you do the same for me, keep strong. I can't tell you where I'm going, but mabye this next request will give you some hint. I need a ship." Without waiting for Grandison's answer he added, "oh and if any dragons, or their spawn, show up," He gave Valwert a wink, "I was never here. In fact you heard I had gone to the Reach."

"Make for Poddingfield. Lord Peasebury has never forgotten his oath to your father, and has a small fleet -- mostly cogs, but a couple warships. He will aid you I am sure of it." Grandison tells Callen. "Thank you for respecting my vows. It proves you are a man of honour. I will remember mine to you, of that you can be assured."

"Very well Peasebury it is." Callen thought for a moment, "after I have left either the Hand or the Aemon himself may send someone to ensure the loyalty of the Stormlords to the Targaryens. I charge you with reminding them where their loyalty should lie. I also charge you to execute my laws and pass judgement in my name. You have a copy of the laws I drafted in Summerhall I presume? If so, I appoint your to the positions of King's Justice, the first member of my court." In a reassuring tone Callen continued, "I don't expect you to rise in open rebellion, not yet anyways, but I just need a quiet, inconspicous representative here. Do you feel up to that?"

OOC: You can't tell me Callen would not have thought about that. After all he has been the center of more than a few political plots.

OoC: I was more implying that Callen has now made things suck for Aerie, with his leaving and instructions for Grandison.

"I am honoured your grace. And may the seven travel with you." Lord Grandison leaves Grandview shortly thereafter.

Callen and his entourage rode for Poddingfield. He had intented to take a ship from there to the Velayrons, the family from which his mother had come from. As he neared the small port town, a keep rising from a small hill amidst the town, Spear spotted a man riding hard towards them. The rider finally reached them and got of his horse and got to one knee. "Your Grace, lord Peasebury asks me to deliver a message to you. He tells me he has recieved word of you from Lord Grandison by Raven. He wishes me to let you know that he stands behind you. He has sent a few knights of his to a camp to the west, he wonders when you plan to ride?"
"Ride?" Callen asked, "what do you mean?"
"You don't know Your Grace?" the man asked. "Events in the past few days have taken an odd turn. The Baratheon pretender still burns villages in your name. There was even a fire in Oldtown. Few truly believe it is your work though. Why burn the Reach, who were your strongest supporters in the war? Why go against the laws that you drafted? The smallfolk are smarter than the lords would have. Also there has been a battle at the wall. Ser Donal Tyrell died after he defeated the King-Beyond-the-Wall. And most recently fighting and fire have broken out in the Red Keep."
"Maerys? Was it Maerys?!" Callen asked. "If he is king all of westeros will be plunged into madness." The man shook his head though, "it is to early to know."
Callen shook his head, clearing his thoughts. He then looked up, resolve in his eyes, "We must capture and destroy this monster who kills in my name. With every breath he casts evil on my name, and soils the laws that I have put in place to protect those who cannot protect themselves. We ride west!"
A flurry of horse wipped past the boy. The group of around 200, sailors from Edmure Seaworth's ship, sellsails and sellswords given to him by the captain of the Silver Serpant, and a mixture of Grandison knights and Hedge Knights who had joined his cause. All were united in following the man who would be King.
As the dust settled the messanger was left staring at the group moving west. However he was soon distracted by an odd looking man riding what looked like a long metal bar attached to two wheels. The man was pumping his feet furiously as a boy chased after him, his arms full of scrolls. "Wait for me! My bicycle isn't as fast as your horses! Don't leave behind!" The group in the distance turned at the sound and sped back. Callen got off his horse and placed the old man on the back of it despite the maester's protests. Spear took Lancel atop his mount and the group sped off. Tears streamed down Vinci Reeds lined face and whimpered, "...my bicycle."

With Lord Valwert Grandison returned to Storm's End, Ser Yarrick of Haystack serves as Castellan of Grandview, with Lady Fenra Grandison, the Lord Valwert's wife, in charge of the household.

OoC: The timing is sort of weird. She actually left before the rioting but whatever.
Aerie Blackwood arrives at Grandview with a small group of men. She requests the audience of Lord Valwert Grandison.

Aerie slunk in the shadows cast by Grandison’s sprawling Grandview home, speaking in a heated voice to Alyssa and the Potters. She was gesticulating fiercely, brushing away with a casual flick of her hand the loose tendrils of hair that fell into her troubled eyes due to her vigorous head shaking. “ I refuse to support a kinslayer’s nonexistent claim to the Iron Throne, I am with you all on that matter, but I still think we should continue after Callen. Even if capturing him is beside the point at the moment, we can see what he is boiling up, wherever he is. The people do not support Aedon, so who shall take the throne? This changes much yet nothing at all. Support for the Baratheon will now grow, and I plan to be there as he rises in power, whether I stand with or against him. He seems the only alternative, unless a new heir is found. If the latter occurs, I shall throw my support behind him, but at the moment we are free to extend our alliances to whoever we wish.”
“We should be in King’s Landing protecting the people and denying Aedon, not here chasing rabbits!”
Aerie ground her teeth, feeling the pinch of annoyance scurry up her spine. “Let us at least speak to Lord Velwert, and then we can debate this further. I’m sure a few hours’ delay will not spell the difference between discord and harmony in King’s Landing?” Aerie was irritated, though she knew she had no right to be. Her desire to continue chasing Callen was based completely off of her thirst for adventure and her eye for advancement, so she should not act as if her actions were part of some heroic effort to right the realm. Still, she wanted this her way, and they would bend to her will.

The castle is high in the hills, on what is nearly one of the highest peaks in the Stormlands. The castle is separated from the trail leading to it by a deep crevasse, which can only be crossed when the heavy drawbridge is lowered. Banners of the recumbent lion, Gold on Black, fly from every tower. Aerie and her party are seen from some distance, Grandview does, indeed, have a grand view.
As Aerie and her party approach the far side of the crevasse, a man appears along the crenelations above the bailly, the stonebuilt gatehouse. He is clad in a surcoat, a simple forest green on one side with a small sigil, difficult to recognize with any distance, and the other side in Grandison's black and gold. "Who goes there?" he asks in a booming voice. A black clad guard, bow in hand, stands next to him; other guards seem posted in the towers.
