The Herald of the Melee

Garth Buckler is interviewing knights and horseman as to who is interested in the melee while the second day's jousting proceeds.

Lucian makes his way past the crowds of knights and squires. He spots the supple colours of the man who his taking the signings for the melee. He walks over and presumes to join the melee.

"A Buckler it would seem you are," He stands with a hand resting on the hilt of his longsword and the other hooked in his belt loop," Im sure it is known, I am Lucian Martell, here for the melee."

Ser Samwise Rivers joins the Melee, his prematurely grey hair hanging long. The stubborn ser Harys Piper also joins, looking to make up for his undiginified joust.

Prince Elester signs up hoping to cover up his poor achievements at joust.

Alliser and Tommen, strongly built young men, sign up. Garrett Redfort signs up as well. He is slender, but much stronger than he looks, and more agile than most.

Kennos Keath, Benfred Vance, and Kevan Mallister stride over to Buckler.

"We're here for the melee," Kennos tells him. "Lord Warren will be wanting to compete as well, of course, but he's a bit preoccupied at the moment teaching a merchant from Lannisport a lesson in lances." The alliteration rolled easily off of Keath's toungue.

Benfred Vance makes his way over to Ser Lucian Martell. "I saw your joust with Lord Blackwood, Ser, it was well fought indeed. Will you be entering the melee too?"

"Aye, I know you. I'll enter you amongst the combatants." Buckler shuffles papers.

The Stormshield strides confidently to the table, "Nuncle, I shall join the melee." The strong young knight casts an appraising eye upon his rivals.

The bastard of riverrun gives the Stormshield a friendly grin.
"Watch your back Buckler. Horses arent my strong point. Fights are."

Lucian was on his way to his tent that was set up for the tournament to don his armour for the melee. Vance spoke to him and he stopped to look at the man.

"Yes, Ser I will be particapting in the melee. Perhaps our blades will meet?"

OOC: We may need to snip a lot of this as Emelia's pulling everyone out of the melee to rush home on the morning tide. Work around? ^_^

Jonas Mormont, called, 'The Greatbear' and his companions sign up for the melee. (Medge and Kenyn Cerwyn, Isaac Glover, Lord Konn Karstark).

The Stormlanders enter the melee in numbers -- in addition to Ser Brandon Buckler, the four champions enter, plus Lord Betram Selmy. Of the group, Ser Felrick Gower is the most feared in a melee, though Buckler is likely the most skilled.

Ser Robert Royce is struck from the list of melee fighters when news of his broken arm reaches the heralds, as is Ser Lucian Martell, due to his early departure.
