Pausing for a moment before leaving Lord Piers replies, "No offense. We are worried about other port cities. When an attack on a major Port city is that successful it induces a lot of concerns for Lannisport and King's Landing. I believe we should move to cover these cities sooner then later, since all of the best fighters are in this room, I do not want to hesitate sending them where they may be needed."
Offering a cool smile, Piers bows then rolls his eyes to the Northmen, "It has also gotten incredibly loud in here."

Turning back to Lord Piers, Rhodri replies, "Well, I hope to see you at the Rock. Afterall, you and I rode there together for the Battle. If not, I'm sure I shall see you in King's Landing before long. If you ever ache for rain and rock, you are welcome back to Storm's End. If you want a more pleasant stay in the Stormlands, I shall take you to Mistwood for a venison hunt."

Piers quirks his smile, "I always appreciate your polite invitations Rhodri. But you know when I hunt I prefer a gentler game then stag." Piers winked at the other man.

In hushed tones, Rhodri comments "The Stormlands have great game for Elk and Boar, but not your prefered prey. It is the steady diet of Elk and Boar that is the problem." Rhodri winks.

Lord Konn Karstark approached Lord Rhodri as the Lord of Storm's End turned his gaze away from the giant northman. "Lord Rhodri Royce? I am Konn Karstark, the Lord of Karhold. I am the only one here from my company that hasn't been in his cups."

Piers laughs deeply, "Some day we will make a wit of you yet. I beg your parden." Bowing deeply Lord Bettley left the feast to join the other Lannister men.

As the honorable Lord Karstark approached Rhodri, Edderion Flint felt it his time to introduce himself to some of the more 'established' guests. He saw a nobleman beside Rhodri wearing a tabard emblazoned with beetles. Laughing to himself as he walked over to the man, he introduced himself, " 'Ello Ser, I am Edderion Flint from...the North. I must compliment you on your coat of arms it is certainly interesting... though I cannot make a good guess of your heritage unless you are the son of a bug-killer."

Turning to Lord Karstark, "Such is the way of things. Welcome to the Stormlands, it is truly a long journey."

Ser Brandon Buckler approaches the young Prince and says, "With your countrymen away, fight close with us Stormlanders until our foes have been vanquished. We would not have you without allies."

Elane approaches Lord Rindwynd and Lord Rhodri when she hears them speaking of the Free Cities. Thinking of Aranya, she says, "I could not help overhearing, my lord. Did you say you had been to Tyrosh?" Seeing his startled look, she adds, "Forgive me - I am Elane, Lord Rhodri's cousin."

"How lucky," Elane said. "I have always wanted to travel the Free Cities. But it wouldn't be safe now. Pirates plague the narrow sea; I've had to hire sellsails to protect my trading galleys, but the risk is still so great. It's like hiring pirates to protect you from pirates. I heard those Bandoleros went so far as to burn Sunspear. How did they manage that?
"We need our own fleets to protect us, my lord. Apparently the Dornish fleet couldn't withstand the Bandoleros. But what of the Redwyne fleet? Could you summon them to protect our waters? For all I know, Gulltown could be attacked next."

"I've been curious about the Free Cities for some time now, Rhodri," Elane said. "I've begun to trade with Tyrosh as well as Volantis." And pay spies to look out there, but none of them report to me anymore. Thieves. "I heard stories a couple years ago, of an exile prince going from Braavos to Tyrosh to Myr."
