Syrio Hotah's flagship, the largest of the Bandolero fleet is extravagantly carved with idols of various gods (and demons) the bandolero king has chosen to worship. A silver serpent is carved into the ship's stern, the end pointed so it almost becomes a sword.

Callen Baratheon is carried into the hold by Nealon Spear, his hounds bound. Spear places him in the corner of the room, and nods at a bowl of foreign fruit and a cup with some kind of liquid in it. He loosens Callen's ropes, enabling him to use his hands to eat and drink.
"Syrio will speak to you in an hour or so. Make yourself comfortable in the meantime." Spear pats Callen on the head, and leaves the hold, locking the door behind him.

OOC: Seriously, the whole, "Hey! Let's get Callen captured on a daily basis" is getting kind of old. Kidding, but still....
Callen remained sitting on the floor for a while, staring at the strange food before him. If they wanted to kill me they could have done it back at Sunspear , so Callen reached over and took a bite of what appeared to be a sickly green orange, the most normal thing there. He contemplated his situation, and glanced around the small room he had been placed in, it was small but not untidy. The number one thing on his mind at the moment was Aranya, gods I hope she's still alive.

The door swung open, and two tanned guards stepped in. One had long braided hair, and he nodded at Callen, speaking in broken common.
"You come, King meet you now." They grabbed Callen by the shoulders, and escorted him out of the hold, and into the lower deck of the ship. They stopped at the door of a large, expensive looking cabin, before opening the door. The one with braided hair dragged Callen unceremoniously into the room, almost dropping him on a large cushion in the centre of the room.
Opposite Callen sat the same charismatic man who had carried him out of the inn. He sat on a wide chair, with a dark haired girl sitting on his lap. She was topless. The man scowled at the braided guard.
"The Baratheon is my friend. You dont treat my friend like that. Now fuck off." He was speaking in common for Callen's benefit. His common sounded accented, but good. He turned back to Callen and gave him an almost benign smile.
"Want a taste? She is fresh from last night." He was reffering to the dark haired girl on his lap.
"No? Very well." He kissed her breasts, before shooing her off his lap. He got to his feet, looking down at Callen. He pulled out a knife from a draw, and slashed at Callen's ropes unbinding him.
"There. Now we can speak as friends." He looked directly at Callen. "Tell me Baratheon. Do you know who I, sorry, we are?"

Slowly Callen realized who this man was, noone could sail the narrow sea for 4 years and not know. "Your Sryio Hotah, but I'm not sure how I'm a friend of yours."

Hotah raised his eyebrows. "That is my name, yes, but it is not what we are. We are the Bandolero." He paused, before sighing.
"You may not be my friend. I do not know you. I knew your father, although I was a young man at the time. He was a good man. Decent. Honest. I like honesty, although my profession makes it difficult sometimes. But i am your friend Baratheon. Why? Because as strange as it may sound, i am going to help you. I am going to help you become King again."
Syrio stared deep into Callens eyes, as if trying to discover something.

Callen stared at the man who would make him king. His first thought was of suprise, then elation, and finally caution. He had learned over the years not to be too hasty, so what did this man want? "I have one question for you Hotah. Why? Why would you help me? Let's cut the manners and get straight to the real question, what do you see to gain from this?"

Syrio did not answer straight away. Instead he unsheathed a long sword, with strange, darkened steel and a gold handle. He ran his finger along the blade, and looked up.
"We are not pirates. That may sound strange to you, and many would argue that we are, but we are not. The Bandolero do not hunt alone. We serve a Lord, or king under a contract. It has always been our way. We make that Lord or King money, and he makes us... lawful." He kissed the blade. "Six years ago, i served a king, or rather, a dragon. To be more precise, we were bound to the Targaryen's by contract. I bound the deal with the same man who invaded Westeros. But, there was disagreement."
A look of annoyance crossed Syrio's face.
"Aegon broke the contract. He demanded more of the share of plunder he was supposed to receive, and, while i was away, he took it by force from my treasure ships. Naturally I was angered by this. Aegon had stolen from me, but more importantly, he had broken a Bandolero contract. So i went to take back what was mine. I took my forces, six years ago, to Aegon's fortress. Unfortunately, i had not realised that the rumours had been true. Aegon had a dragon. Many of my men were killed, and many ships were burnt. I barely escaped with my life. So, I do not like dragons, including the human kind. In fact, you could say i have a vendetta, not unlike you i believe. Now then. I need a Lord. The free cities do not trust me, and i will not kiss a dragon. So that leaves you, Baratheon. I have asked myself, why not kill two birds with one stone? Why not have my revenge, while putting my old friend's son back where he belongs, and gaining a Lord for the Bandoleros i can trust long into the future? So that, is why i will help you, Callen Baratheon."
Syrio had got to his feet, his long hair by his waist, dominating the room.

OOC: Why didn't you bastards just anchor your ships to the port, search Callen from taverns of the Sunspear, ask him to come aboard and explain him the situation. Was it absolutely necessary, to act like barbarians and burn down half of the port of Sunspear? Bloody pirates!

ooc: because their original aim was to make money and plunder, finding Callen was just coincidence. Sorry about Sunspear btw, but if it makes you feel any better originally the whole city was going to be destroyed.

OOC: What kind of person is Syrio? So far I'm getting the impression that he's like a Hotah/Sallador Saan/Drogo cross.
IC: Callen stood up from the floor, he studied Syrio for a moment. "I need a sword," one of the bodyguards in the room handed him one, he looked back at Syrio, "kneel."

ooc: Drogo would be probably the closest, although I'd say hes his own character really. Im not sure which direction he'll go.
Syrio smiled at the sword. "This is knighting, yes? Very well. But a Bandolero contract can only be sealed one way."
Syrio moved swiftly forward, so he was facing Callen. He lifted his chin, and kissed him on the mouth.
"There. We find a contract bound by an act of love to be far more reliable than by paper or sword. But i will honour your customs."
The king of the Bandoleros knelt before Callen.

OOC: .............................wasn't expecting that.
IC: Callen was stunned for a moment as Syrio Hotah kissed him. He was about to yell at the man for his audacity, but then realized that a kiss was a small enough price to pay. "Syrio Hotah, I Callen Baratheon, King of the First Men, the Andals and the Rhoynar take you into my service and declare you Admiral of the Narrow Sea. Do you swear fealty to your new King?"

ooc: Haha
Syrio looked up. "Of course." He shrugged. "I have a plan, if you would hear it."
