"Is that so?" Ser Brandon says. "Perhaps you are correct, your Highness. You have a much more complete knowledge of the situation than I do, after all. If Lady Aerie is as guilty as you say, then it is only reasonable for you to determine her punishment, as is proper as your position as the ruler of Dorne."
Brandon smiles courteously. "However, Lord Horas has commanded me to speak with Lady Aerie. We must listen to both sides of the story after all; it is only just. May I speak with her in her cell?"

Emelia looked at Brandon. "After I finish my next interrogation of her, you may."
OOC: So we don't timecross the meetings.

Emelia led Aerie into the throne room of the Tower of the Sun. Brandon was already present, and Seth was soon brought in by his guard. Emelia took her seat on the Sun Throne.
"I have come to a verdict regarding Aerie Blackwood and Seth Greyjoy," she said. "I find you both innocent of the charge of conspiracy to commit high treason, and guilty of the charge of flight from lawful authority. On the charge of theft of Crown property, I find Seth Greyjoy guilty, with Aerie Blackwood his accomplice."
Emelia looked directly at the pair, and raised a finger as Aerie looked about to protest. "I have also taken into account testimony by Greyjoy that indicated that he was unaware of the decree regarding the starmetal, and that he and Aerie fled to avoid entanglement with Auron Dayne's difficulties. In light of the situation, I find that it would not serve justice to bring the full penalty of the law down on the pair."
"As a result, I hereby decree that Seth Greyjoy and Aerie Blackwood are pardoned, and that no penalty will be exacted for these crimes they have committed."

"You are a very gracious woman." Seth said, nodding and smiling. He was genuinely impressed with the way it had turned out. He had heard Emelia to be harsh, but he counted himself lucky that she was being so lenient.

Ser Brandon Rivers stands at attention as the Princess delivers her verdict.
"You are as generous as you are wise, your Highness," Brandon says with a bow. "Lord Horas sends his best wishes."
Ser Brandon looks towards Aerie, then glances at Seth, a trifle curiously.

Emelia looked at Ser Brandon and quirked her brow. "He was with Aerie, so I presumed that she'd wish for him to return to the Six Kingdoms with her."

Aerie relaxed visibly and gave Ser Brandon a small, reassuring smile. “Thank you for your hospitality, Princess. Dorne was all I had imagined and more. Perhaps we should do this again sometime, but for now I think we should hurry home. Horas and Warren will worry.” She ignored the intrigued look Ser Brandon regarded her and Seth with, struggling not to roll her eyes.

"Shall we depart then, my lady?" Ser Brandon asks. "There is a ship waiting for us in the harbor. Your companion is welcome to travel with us if he so chooses."

Aerie smiled at Sir Brandon and held up a hand. “Yes, let us depart. We can confirm plans on the way to our ship. Lord Falgrave will be accompanying us as well.”

Ser Brandon leads Aerie and Seth to the Sunspear docks. At the base of the tower several guards fall into place around them.

When they reached the docks, Aerie stopped suddenly. “Well Ser Brandon, I have to thank you for ensuring my release from Emelia’s clutches. Thank Horas for me as well. I might put in a good word for you with him. Now, have a nice journey.” She smiled at him patronizingly.

Brandon stops stiffly. "And where are you going, Lady Aerie?"

“Well I couldn’t leave Dorne without some exploration first,” she returned cheerfully, pretending to browse the docks in curiosity. “I’ve heard it’s very different form the Six Kingdoms. I could use a change of scene, an escape from my duties.
“Severing heads does loose its charm after a while,” she confided.

Brandon frowns and appears on the verge of retorting, but he stops himself. After his face smooths back into a pleasant smile, he says, "Of course. I can imagine such duties would be stressful, my lady. I will be happy to provide you with an escort wherever you decide to vacation."
