The residence of the Princess of Dorne, the Tower of the Sun is the tallest and mightiest of the towers of Dorne. Nearly two hundred feet tall at the top, it is covered with a dome of gold and leaded glass.

On the day the messenger from the North was expected, the Princess sat in the throne room at the bottom of the Tower of the Sun, awaiting the messenger on the Throne of the Spear while delicately feasting on a few grapes. The Throne of the Sun, of course, remained empty.

Black Ben Tollett entered the room, bowing to the Princess Martell respectfully.

Princess Emelia smiled gracefully to Black Ben, inclining her head to the man. "Good day, Ser. I hear that His Majesty offers indepencence and alliance to Dorne?" she asked.

"Aye", Black Ben Tollett spoke as though he regretted passing the word on.

Princess Emelia smiled. "Then here are the terms of Dorne," she said, waving over a scribe to take down her words.
"Aegon, King of the Andals and the First Men, Lord of the Six Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm, hereby renounces all claims to Dorne and to the kingship of the Rhoynar, and recognizes Emelia Martell as Princess of Dorne and the Rhoynar. The Six Kingdoms and Dorne agree to maintain open borders at the Princes' Pass and the Boneway, protected by the customary garrisons, and to maintain rights of free trade at each other's ports for a period of twenty years. Furthermore, should an external force arise during the time of the Treaty that should threaten both the Six Kingdoms and Dorne, the Realms will agree to stand together as allies to repel the common enemy." She smiled at Ben Tollet, then continued.
"Furthermore, to further secure the alliance and friendship between our lands, Prince Aegon Targaryen, son of King Aegon, will marry Princess Rhana of Dorne at the earliest convenience. Any rights to inheritance of titles, lands and honors through Prince Aegon's line will be held under Valyrian law, and any rights of inheritance through Princess Rhaena's line will be held under Rhoynar law."
She leaned back on the throne, looking at Black Ben. "Is this acceptable to the Dragon King?"

"It is good by me, besides for one flaw, Princess, Prince Aemon is already married..."

"Aegon, not Aemon."

"Sorry, I am sickly, Princess. " (OOC: ) Looking it over he seems to sigh and then dutifully remarks, "Alright, then on behalf of the Iron Throne, I agree to this treaty."

Emelia nodded. "Then by the Spear of Dorne, the Sun of the Rhoynar, the Dragon of Valyria, and in the name of the gods both old and new, let it be done." She smiled widely and affixed her twin seals to the treaty, then handed it to Black Ben.

Black Ben closed his eyes, breathed in, opened his eyes and then signed the document. "It's done."

"Indeed. I now have to break the news to Rhana, send to the troops to stand down and get things ready for the trip to King's Landing. Do take your ease before returning to your King." She stood and left the room.

Emelia had the Castellan ushered up to the throne room beneath the dome, where she sat on the Sun Throne. Oberyn was, unusually, present; the snake was presently curled around Emelia's neck, dozing with its tongue flickering in and out.
"Lord Grandison; a pleasure to see you. How is Lord Rhodri?" she asked politely, holding a fairly high opinion of the Red Royce.
