Lady Haley and her entourage, including Jeyne, return home. The trip is tiring as Lady Haley is still having morning sickness, but Haley and Jeyne are glad to be home after the long trip.

"He has gone up North, m'lady" responded Jeyne. Haley grows visibly upset at the answer. She is heavily pregnant, feeling profoundly uncomfortable and is unhappy not to have the support of her husband at this time.

"Damn Damn Damn him, stupid man doing this to me, Jeyne I swear I will have that mans head for what he's putting me through." Haley yells at her guard angry at having to sit in bed for mst of the day and not being able to ride and play with William and care for Edmure.

Haley, sweetness and light most of the time, is terrifying in her anger. She seems another woman entirely.
"Is there anything I can do to help m'lady?" asks Jeyne with trepidation in her voice. "Just say what you want and it will be my command."

"I want freedom I want to get out of this bed and enjoy life and I'm sick of those god damn servants looking at like being pregnant as some sort of sickness." Picking up a goblet of watered wine Haley throws it against the wall, "I HATE BEING PREGNANT."

"Why don't we go for a walk, m'lady?" asked Jeyne, trying to break into the torrent of anger flowing out of Haley. "Maybe that would make you feel less confined. It is a lovely spring day outside."

"Oh you are a true darling and a clever one Jeyne." For a second the old Haley showed through then as she tried to rise and her stomach made it difficult to rise. "Argggh I hate this thing, but now it is time to walk and maybe we could go for a short ride."

"A walk, m'lady, might be more comfortable. I've always heard riding can hurt the child," Jeyne paused, "Though the peasant women from home always rode till very late in their carrying." Then she added, "But I've never seen a lady ride at your stage of pregnancy."
Haley yelled at a serving maid to get her a riding outfit and then stomped clumsily out the door. Jeyne followed her.

"Now Jeyne go to the Kitchens and fill up sack with food a woman in my condition needs to eat a lot then get your sword belt." As Jeyne ran away Haley turned to see the Master of Horse, "I WANT A COURSER NOW IF YOU DON'T GET ME ONE ILL HAVE YOUR HEAD." The man quickly runs to get a Horse ready and as an after thought Haley yells, "AND ONE FOR MY GUARD."

Jeyne dreads what Haley will do, but dares not contradict her, especially after she hears Haley yelling for horses. She brings as much food as can be packed in two large saddle bags, arranges for a number of warm blankets, arms herself with sword and bow, and gathers as much gold as she can get her hands on. Gold will buy ways out of a situation that other materials could not.
When she returned laden under her goods, she found Haley already saddled on a side saddle of a restive grey courser. Her own horse also awaited her and snuffled softly under the weight of the food and blankets. Before she could even finish preparing, Haley was charging out the gates.

Cole rides up to gate of Highgarden and salutes the guards as they wave him on in. It had been awhile since he had returned to his father's old home, it was still as elegant and pretty as he remembered it.
When he comes to the main keep he dismounts and asks a servant where Lord Tyrell is.
