Callen looked to Rhodri, no sense of malice or distaste directed to him, the debt had been paid. "Well?"

"We should send for news from the city," Aranya said suddenly. "My sister is trapped there anyway, I want to know what happened to her. And we would make better plans if we knew what was happening. Can Reed send a very fast raven, Callen?"

Callen thought for a moment, "he could. But what are the odds of it getting through? It would be brought down by an arrow the moment it came in sight."

"But riding into King's Landing without knowing the situation is like walking to battle blind." Aranya said. "We have to know what's going on. I suppose we could start the march and send outriders and scouts ahead, but even that strikes me as risky."

Rhodri finally speaks, softly. "Your sister is not trapped in King's Landing. The battle was already underway when we escaped. I escorted her from the city, and told her to seek refuge in the Vale. I would not have her in danger."
"The battle will be done by the time we arrive. Dondarrion spoke of a lucid dream, and foresaw his own death. Aedon will be victorious."

Aranya looked visibly relieved, but she did not lose focus. "Thank you for protecting her, Rhodri. But Dondarrion foreseeing his own sounds like fear to me. Mind, I won't be terribly upset if he dies, except that his soldiers will go over to Aedon." She balled her hand into a fist. "We cannot allow that. You realize that Aedon will virtually have the Stormland army, or a large part of it? I'm sure Dondarrion brought a large number."

"Put your trust not in dreams or visions, too many times they have been wrong, misheard, or mis interperated. Besides, it doesn't matter who wins or loses it is our duty to protect those in the city. Regaining the Iron Throne is second to protecting the city."

"The Songlord will never support Aedon. They will fight or they will die, they will not join the murderer. I know the men of the Stormlands. They would not do that," Rhodri says.

"Would they follow my banner then?" Callen asked.

"Some would, certainly. Only the most proud would refuse to bow to you, Dondarrion of course. The Songlord would be the key. If he lives, and you can turn him to your side, most will follow. Men respect him, men want to follow him. I have some influence as well, I have many friends amongst the younger knights especially," Rhodri says.

"Good, now I have a plan to bring down that dragon, it's not full proof, but it's the best bet w-" At that moment several guards burst into the room carrying the innkeeper, a young woman, and sword in it's sheath. The captain knelt and presented Callen with the sword "Your Grace we found the inn keep downstairs trying to hide this." Confused Callen took it from him and drew it from it's sheath, his eyes widened in surprise as Dark Sister glinted in the light of the lantern.

Aranya sucked in her breath. She had traveled the world long enough to recognize an unusual blade when she saw it. It was not just the Valyrian steel - it was the Valyrian hilt, the Valyrian pommel, of the sort that you still saw in the old smithies in the Free Cities and even in Old Ghis. Was it Blackfyre? No - that sword was found. This one, though, could be Dark Sister. She eyed it in wonder.

Rhodri for the moment holds his tongue, waiting to see if she will speak for herself. But he is tense.

OOC: The innkeep before was Kid Death. Kid Death is in King's Landing.
"DARK SISTER!", screamed Osgrey.
The woman they had brought before them was weeping, "That is not your sword. It was my husband's last wish to give to me. He is dying in King's Landing, fighting my uncle and you have the audacity to steal it from me?". Her words were broken by fits of crying and then she called out, "May the Seven curse you!"

Rhodri stands. "I swore that blade would be hers."
