Olander sat back in quiet observation as the lords spoke and murmurs grew louder. After a time, he came to his feet and raised a hand in the air for silence.
"Strength is a virtue that comes from unity," he repeated. "Not from dissent. Any man who can claim to know me will know that my one driving wish for my home, for my brothers, cousins, and sons, and for all keepers of the Old Gods, is for Strength. Over fifteen years ago, the Seven Kingdoms saw strife, much like we see it today. Our sons marched south, to die in a conflict that was not our own! Why do we lay down our lives in the aid of men who consider us savage, primitive worshipers of trees, and gods long forgotten? Rickon Baratheon is a good man, and was a better king than what we know, but none the less he was not a man of our gods! Rodrick has done naught to earn our support, yes, but neither have the Rebels!"
The tiny crannogman drew himself up in a way that made him seem large, despite his small stature. "I say the North looks after its own! I say we unify under the banner of our own leadership, with all the strength of our kingdom!" Olander belted forcefully, grabbing the wrist of his liege lord and foster son and raising it into the air.
"I say we crown the King of the North as he rightly should be!"

"Aye!" Zach cries out from the back. "The King of the North!"

"Lord Reed is right there is reason for loyalty to either side my loyalty is to Gariss." says Edmure.

"I will follow Garris Stark in anything, be he lord or king. This is indeed the opportunity for the North to return it's crown. My sword is with you." said Jon, smiling to the lord

Lord Cregan had placed himself a bit further down the table.
"I agree with what you are saying, Lord Stark. And I do not contest your right as King of the North, or that we should not follow the king that sits in the south as he is a complete madman, but there is still the facts to consider. Rodrick will let us do our little thing up here, and as he has reclaimed the south he'll come marching up here and kill innocent men and women, if the rumors are true from the south."
He paused and looked at the men around the room.
"And there is the matter with the king's brother, a man of the south that is more a man of the north than the south. He might hold no lordship up here, but he holds many men's heart. This I have seen while I travelled with him for a time."

Lord Gariss looked to speak for the first time since Lord Reed had suggested it. His heart had skipped a beat when it was offered, and he was momentarily unsure weather this be a dream or reality.
"Yes. That is a matter that I have seen coming up," he said in response to Lord Cregan. "He is a dear friend to me, but the man is not his brother. He wishes to have no part of the southern gods, or the southern crown. He spends his time in the Gifts, which we replenish even now," Gariss said, bowing his head.
"I would take this gift you, my lords, give to me, and I will use it," he said, his voice growing, "to make all the other kingdoms know once again why the North is to be feared. Why we are as strong and stalwart as the wall that backs us. The cold winds blow and Winter is Coming; but we will endure!"

Cregan nods and waits for Lord Stark to finish his speech.
"Rickon is not his brother, that is true, Lord Stark, but I just think we should not just dissmiss him as no threat, because of he says he wants nothing to do with the south. I am sure that he'll come to his brother's aid, if Rodrick asks him. That is just the man I think he is. Blood is thicker than water after all"
He rose and placed his fisted hand on his heart.
"With that being said, my men and me are yours to command, King Gariss."

"Your words are duely noted, Lord Cregan," he said, but his words began to be drowned out with the clamour around; cheers, shouts, and cries of pride erupted from the walls of Winterfell, filling the hall like an ocean of emotion.

Cregan waited for the noise to settle down.
"So what do you propose now, King Gariss?"

"We must fortify against foreign threats," he said, confident. "Moat Cailin was newly rebuilt by my father, so it will serve as our defense to the south. White Harbour should ready it's ships and it's defenses should an assault come from the south, and the Barrowlands along with Bear Island will need to be ready against Ironborn raid.
"Allies, we will not be without. The Riverlands are our closest neighbours, and we are under good terms. Their support will not be out of reach."

Cregan nods. This kid knew what he was talking about.
"I will send a friend of mine to speak with the clans, and see if we can get their help as well."

"That would be appreciated, Lord Cregan," Gariss nodded once. He liked the Cerwyns, as they were very close to Winterfell, and visited often. "And if you could speak to your uncle, Brandon. All of the north knows of his prowess, and it would be greatly needed in the Barrowlands. "Lord Manderly, if you would see to the prepreation I've asked, that too would be appreciated. Lord Umber, Lord Karstark, if you and your men would join me in the neck, we would move set up ample defenses there, too, along with Lord Reed.
"Lord Glover and the surrounding lords will help with defenses on Bear Island while Lords Dustin and Tallhart will see to the Barrowlands with Lord Cerwyn, after he is done his negotiations with the Clans. If no threat is immediately seen, we shall have need of your aid in the Neck, I am sure.
"There are followers of the Old Gods elsewhere, and we will be united under one banner," he finished.

"My king, I will leave for White Harbor as soon as possible. I ask for you permission to increase my fleet. The North can raise 25 warships at best and we can be attacked from sea."

"Quite so, Lord Manderly. You may commence the constuction of a new fleet at White Harbor, though I caution you to spend your money wisely. There will be many uses of coin soon, I imagine."

"Certainly My king, It has been awhile since the North has rode south to war." Said Edmure solemnly.
