Aranya paused as she passed by the Crow. "Thank you for coming," she said. "And for coming to our aid. It was an honor, Crow." The Crow nods solemnly. "Lady Aranya," Horas says. "When you are ready for vengeance, seek me out."

Aranya bowed her head gravely. "I will be glad to accept your service. You will be lavished with money and honor. I trust you as I'd trust my own blood." Her mouth tightened. "I will decide what to do after - after this. Be prepared to ride for war."

"When you are ready for vengeance, seek me out." Aranya's dead eyes glimmered. "I will, Crow. My husband will be avenged."

Aranya nodded, and returned to Rhodri, who had not moved. "Are you all right?" she asked gently. "Let the maester and I at least see to your wounds, or get you something to eat."

"My wounds are nothing, and food...there will be food enough when I can rest. Not now," Rhodri says curtly. His eyes are fixed on the sarcophagi.

Aranya nodded and stood beside him. The septon droned on, but Aranya's mind went to the weirwoods, and the old gods, hoping Selwyn had found safe haven.

Fee and Fie, two Stone Crows, sons of Jach, wander into the back quite drunk.

Fryse moves to Rhodri and Aranya, his pale face impassive. "We'll be headin' out now. Sorry we cannit stay, but I have to git back teh Kin's Landin'."
He held out his hand to Rhodri. "Sorry fer throwin' a fit back on the damn mountain, man. Lost my head fer a bit."

"Worry not, good man. I shall follow to King's Landing shortly. If you need anything, you are always welcome to come and find me," Rhodri says, snapping back from his reverie for a moment.

"May the old gods protect you, friends."
Then Aranya saw the sons of the toppled Stone Crow chieftain staggering in the back. Her eyes narrowed.

"I'll trust it more to my axe." Fryse said with a smile, then he and Marq left the room, preparing to depart.

"Och," said Chella of the Black Ears with tears in her eyes. "A fine man he was, and I know you're bed will be very cold without him. Let me know if ever you want revenge."

Aranya's face remained tight and stiff as ever, but she nodded to Chella. "Thank you, but he is mine to avenge. Mine," she said fiercely.

When the septons took a break to meditate (Aranya sneered; it was clearly to rest their voices from constant prayer), people stood in groups and talked. Men kept riding in: Lord Lynderly, Longthorpe from as far as Longsister, young Ser Gerold Templeton of Ninestars, Lord Waxley and Lord Waynwood with his daughter Nymella, and many others.
Aranya pressed a fortifying glass of wine into Rhodri's hand, and drank one herself. Then she spoke to him. "Rhodri," she said in a low, terse voice. "I guessed that Goldface up on Great Tette wasn't the real Sands. Our prisoner Hammen said Sands had gone up to Greywater Watch. Has there been any sign of him there?"
